Let be honest guys, Wilder would never get 15 Mil without fighting AJ.
His career high per fight was about $1,5-2 Million vs Ortiz. He won't get anything close to 15 Million without Joshua at all. He needs AJ!
I don't know why he was so surprised at hearing Haymon guys in a lot of cases receive much more than the reported purse. Guys like Garcia would leave to Hearn asap if Hearn really offered them double or triple their purses. But that's just not the case. Impossible to know how much these guys make, but Wilder did not walk away with anything close to 1.5 million vs Ortiz. Heck, if the reported purse was 2.1 million, it is likely he ended up getting 3+ million for the fight.
The evidence is absolutely overwhelming that filed purses are often bogus, but the UK trolls continue to insist Wilder's filed purses should be treated as legit because Hearn says so.
You never got the memo that we're supposed to go by filed purses for Haymon fighters when the trolls attack them, but they can use real purses when defending non-Haymon fighters?

Case in point,
"For example; Keith Thurman’s purse as reported to the Florida State Athletic Commission in conjunction with his July 11, 2015, PBC fight against Luis Collazo was $1.5 million. But Thurman told Dan Rafael of ESPN.com that Haymon gave him a check for an additional $1.2 million.
The purses filed with the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board for the Aug. 15, 2015, PBC fight between Antonio Tarver and Steve Cunningham were listed as $250,000 for each fighter. But Tarver is said to have received a total of $500,000. And a source close to Cunningham says that the fighter was paid an additional $100,000 as an advance."

Not quoting that long post on my phone lol. But lets address some points.
1. At what point did I bring up what AJ does or doesn't make? And it is common knowledge Haymon fighters get a second check. No, Wilder didn't make only 1.5-2 million for that Ortiz fight. Did he make 4 million? I doubt that as well. But not sure why you are so surprised Haymon fighters get paid more than the reported purse. This is why when Hearn was making offers to Mikey, his brother said Hearn was surprised Mikey was already earning more than that. And if we go off of what Broner got offered, you know Hearn had to make a similar offer to Mikey who he wants badly.
2. So Joshua vs Fury in April 2019 is possible eh? Negotiations have to start around December, so by then you think he would have already fought a credible HW? He would get back in the title hunt that soon? Interesting.
3. How much did Parker make vs Joshua and was it a percentage based deal? If so, Parker deserves that but Wilder doesn't? You could say well Parker didn't have a 15 million guarantee… sure, but that fight isn't generating what the Wilder fight will.
We will bump this thread when the negotiations take place for the April showdown. I'm confident Wilder leaves with a better deal then the one ha agreed to this time around.

15 million is more than most boxers today... Only Canelo, Pac, AJ and GGG (with Canelo) make 15 or more...
Unless someone can correct me.
Heck even Wlad rarely got passed that until very late in his career. I am thinking Potvekin
No one said 15 million isn't good money, but for as much money as this fight could generate, it isn't a great deal by any means.

No, you can't google the amount he took home. You think those Haymon second checks are public? Lol, that's the point.
And Broner has been doing consistently the best ratings on SHO. However, Wilder is the one with the top 2 ratings on SHO in the last three or so year dating back to his fight vs Stiverne.
So no, Broner isn't significantly a bigger name than Wilder. And Wilder damn sure wasn't taking the Ortiz fight by getting the same amount of money he would for his other fights.
Espinoza has come out and basically confirmed Broner ends up taking home over 2 million per fight, even if his official purse is 1 million. Haymon gives his guys second checks as well as some of the live gate as they end up co-promoting. They write off the expenses to the promotional company and take home a share of the gate and merchandise/food sales.
The A-side doesn't accept money offers from the B-side? When did I say the A-side does? The A-side usually doesn't get on camera and demand certain terms either that the B-side can accommodate. And the B-side in such a mega fight certainly has value and can demand things other B-siders would not be able to.
You keep saying Fury is Joshua's fight. Cool. So when does that fight happen? What is Warren going to demand in that fight? Can Hearn and Warren work together to make the fight happen? Does Fury have to sign with Matchroom for it to happen? What is the timetable here?
So published numbers for Wilder at 1.5 - 2 is hearsay but what’s published for Aj is word? Everyone takes more than the guaranteed purse. The purse is more so an indicator of value. When someone says Floyd’s purse was 50mil..he made way more. Likewise for Canelo, Aj, Pacquiao, Wlad (who would have enormous numbers in germany).
So if Wilder randomly took a second, secret check worth his entire purse he’s still at what, 4mil?
Also, Who else is there to watch on showtime? A guy who loses more than wins is the top tv draw in Broner followed by Wilder. Wilder has a name but not a very big one.
We’re comparing a legitimate huge ppv star who sells out stadiums against the second best ratings on showtime...who nobody had to pay to watch in a hypothetical vs Fury...
When does Aj fight Fury? After Pedvekin if he wants. Do Warren and Hearn make a fight? Who knows? Sell your fighter out for a ton of money against AJ, despite being with Hearn? Or choose much less to sell out your guy regardless. I think Warren is going to go with the money as any smart man would.
Fury probably also thinks AJ is a more winnable fight. In fact, I think he’s actually said that.
If Wilder was making that much more than reported, he’d come out and say “look I make half that already. “ he wouldn’t allegedly be accepting these offers and making a scene over losing the AJ fight.
Now, I agree that Wilder should get more money..or a percentage I should say. But that’s because I’m a big fan and I think he should get a bigger cut based off how much we know AJ will make. The issue here is that because he makes so little in comparison, he’s in a “take it or leave it” scenario where he has no clout/leverage.
When all the debating and bulls hit is put aside, it’s summed up as such
Aj: I made 30+ (if we’re adding undisclosed figures) with you. How much are you making without me?
Wilder: 4mil because I get paid under the table as well.
Aj: 15. Take it or leave it.
Wilder: Nope.
Aj: Next.
Wilder: You cant make as much without me.
Aj: i made 30+ without you. I’ll be all right.
Didn't you just say Frank Warren is likely to offer Wilder $15m to fight Fury in the UK?
I'm a huge Fury admirer but he will not draw a crowd so long as he is fighting Sefer Seferi and Gary Cornish.
There's no way in hell Frank Warren can find $15m for Wilder unless BT take a HUGE financial risk to launch their PPV platform.
I said Warren and Haymon are discussing the fight. If Warren can match the 15 million, Wilder would do it. Too soon to know if the money is there as Fury needs more time to regain his credibility.
It's amazing all the UK fans that make these crazy claims about Wilder that make no sense.

--- Boner is a bigger name in the US than your dear Deyonce.
If Deyonce makes $3 mil his next fight, that'd be 50% more than his highwater mark.
No surprise the see the math illiteracy of his fans who couldn't make change for a dollar.
Broner is a significanfly bjgger name than Wilder
Based on what? Wilder sells more tickets now, at higher ticket prices, and does better ratings.
It's amazing all the UK fans that make these crazy claims about Wilder that make no sense.
I just googled it. Just shy of 2mil. Broner is a significanfly bjgger name than Wilder and has been in big profile fights.
Wilder is, unfortunately, largely “unknown” even in the States.
Broner is more famous despite being not being very good anymore. Broner has been getting by off name and name alone which will start changing soon as he keeps losing.
Even if Wilder did 5-6 mil in the UK VS Fury...that’s still not much in comparison.
Aj might make half or a little more PER fight if he doesnt fight Wilder...but that half is 20mil plus still. Wilder is down to the LOW low single digits with his most lucrative fight being against Fury that will still not be half if what hed make vs Aj. Thats off that 50mil offer that AJ would never accept. The A side doesnt accept money or offers from the B side. Not once has it happened. Ever
The thing is, the better Fury looks the more the AJ fight becomes a superfight there and the less likely it is for Wilder to land that. Wilder’s best chance at Fury is now, not if Fury regains form.
Wilder isnt AJ’s most lucrative or biggest fight. It’s Fury.

But we aren't talking about it happening next. Just sometime next year. Fury isn't going straight to Wilder. This was in response to Wilder making 15 million off 5-7 more fights and him not having any option if Joshua blackballs his potential opponents.
Didn't Fury's last fight do like 14k? Or was that a BS number thrown out?
And if Broner is making over 2 million and around 2.5 million, then no way Wilder walked away with less than 2 million vs Ortiz. Especially when there was over 14k in attendance.

It works both ways. There is nobody AJ can fight who would make AJ even half the money fighting Wilder would make him. A fight with Wilder would be by far AJ's biggest career payday.
