Ortiz almost KO’s Wilder and no one wants to see that fight again? WTF?
I want to see either Joshua or Wilder face that old man. I think if old man Foreman could do it. Ortiz will do it easier.
BOTH men are scared of Ortiz.
They should be. There boxing IQ added together doesn’t equal his.
Im sure Ortiz would love to fight Joshua across the pond. DONT HOLD HOUR BREATH.
He put up a good fight but he got knocked out and has done nothing since then. Getting knocked out isn't how you get a title shot. AJ isn't afraid of him but he has more important fights with guys who aren't coming off a KO loss. If Aj fights him now he is fighting Wilder's leftovers.
Ortiz is 40 years old, on medication for high blood pressure, and his best win was Bryant Jennings 4 years ago. He looked like crap in his last 2 fights before Wilder, old and shot.
Hearn signed him to Matchroom so he could promote the WBA mando between Ortiz and AJ, and Ortiz jumped ship to Haymon and fought Wilder instead. He had his chance with Hearn and he blew it.
What does that say about how good Wilder is in his PRIME?
I like Ortiz and want to see him do other things. Now that Wilder knows what he needs to do, I think he wins a rematch with less trouble. I don't want to see Ortiz take 2 Ls in a row so I'd rather see him face AJ, Whyte, Pulev, Parker, etc. If they both keep winning, they'll meet again.
Wilder would take him out much earlier next time. It took him more than half the fight to find the range for his jab. Once he did, Ortiz started hitting the mat. Wilder has a deadly 1-2.
Not to mention Ortiz would be another year older.
That “old man” is the biggest threat to Wilder and Joshua.
What does that say about how great EITHER of them are?
There both $hhitt.
Blew it? He made me realized how schitty the heavy weight division is!
If Ortiz and Wilder were two other big name fighters and they had a fight like that. All you bhitches would be bleeding out your a$s bhitching why no rematch.
It made me realise how shitty Wilder is, needing an illegal break called by a ringside doctor to avoid getting KO'd by a knackered old carthorse like Ortiz.
A.J. was lookingelse where and Hearn kept side stepping the issue.
Do you know what a mandatory challenger is?
Where Povetkin is now, that's where Ortiz would have been if he hadn't signed with Haymon and fought Wilder - mandatory challenger for AJ's WBA title.
With a neutral ref Wilder would have been stopped in that fight, thats why his fangirls are terrified to rematch the old cuban on high blood pressure.
The Heavyweight division is GARBAGE.

Ortiz was AJ's mando but he decided to fight Wilder instead, then failed a PED test and lost his mandatory status. That's a fact .. look it up.

Still time to fight the old man.
Don’t hold your breath. AJ is far more predictable AND PONDEROUS than Wilder. Perfect for Ortiz.
