For me there's a few things that are a given here and anyone connected to boxing should've realised: - Eddie Hearn will not allow this to happen before his platform on DAZN goes live, especially with it being imminent. This will end up being a huge factor if Wilder is tied to Showtime / HBO. - AJ has had half the fights Wilder has, and earned double the money and triple the alphabet titles. He doesn't need to rush. - Povetkin will fill another stadium, give AJ another highlight-reel KO and is a legit defence and a good learning fight. - Wilder has no other options to make even 1/4 of what he will make against AJ, he will be there as long as he has the WBC belt. - If, and it's a big 'if', Fury's comeback picks up pace and he is fighting legit HW's by early 2019 - then there is suddenly another bargaining chip that Team AJ has in these negotiations.
