I would expect Jacobs to use his size and box an intelligent cautious fight.
box a cautious fight, collapse in amazement that he survived, lose a decision, then later pretend he won
I don't see Jacobs destroying anyone tbh. He has very over-rated power. He couldn't destroy Arias or Sulecki, I don't see him as a hard puncher.
Arias was fighting scared and Sulecki got dropped. He's lucky he wasn't clipped earlier. Never seen someone who isn't a hard puncher drop somebody like this this late.
He will get priged..
Except it would be more violent and harder for you to stomach
How would it be violent for me to stomach lol
You and I aren't made from the same cloth.

Probably grinds out another points victory against Derev tho.
Have you by chance watched any of their sparring videos? Just wondering. If not.... check em out
All I could find was this clip. Didn't see anything conclusive there. Jacobs seemed to have no problem seeing Dev and seemed to be working on his defense first and foremost.
Would be funny if he skips the second weigh in again, then KOs Derevyanchenko.
Why would he do that against this bum? Fight would be off anyways if he did.
Around NSB he is know as the great threat that GGG ducked to then go cherry pick Canelo for a rematch. :lol1:
I dislike Golovkin as much as anybody but you gotta draw the line somewhere.
Dev looks green as hell is all over the place has bad defense and overrated power. Dude looked like absolute trash against Johnson.
It's gonna be tough for Derevyanchenko to get to Jacobs as his arms are very short and he hasn't got a great (Golovkin's) jab to help him. On the plus side his hands are much quicker than Golovkin's and he's a very good body puncher.
All things considered, it's hard not to favor the Jacobs. Jacobs moves well and has very good power, he's going to catch Derevyanchenko over and over again trying to bridge the gap (67" reach vs 73" reach).
Is this fight even happening is my question. Seems like good fights keep getting proposed between contenders but few are taking any chances.
I don't see Jacobs destroying Derev. Jacobs barely got by Sulecki. Has anyone actually seen Derev fight? I wouldn't be surprised if Derev KOs Jacobs. Derev goes in there an attacks. If they do fight, I will put money on Derev, especially if Jacobs is a big favorite
But yo, didn't Jacobs refuse to make the second day weigh-in for the IBF vs. Golovkin? that's what they are fighting for right?
If thats the case I cant be too sure it be wise to underestimate Dervenhauxhrrrrria ; disregarding that issue I would favor Jacobs by 12 round UD.
If Danny sticks to a good game plan he should win but I agree a weight cut may weaken him. He is the better boxer. He has to stay focused and not go for a KO. It will come if he doesn't force it.
Jacob's hasn't been destroying anyone lately. He seems to ok with boxing and being generally boring now. He needs that fire like he had against Quillin.
Just wait and see
Its a good fight. Hopefully it happens, but everyone knows how impossible Jacobs team is to negotiate with.
In this case though Jacobs manager has both guys......
