You made your millions, you will be remembered more than Hopkins. You will be compared to Monzon and Hagler for the rest of your life.
Fight the best available. Canelo can go **** himself until he earns his chance by beating top MWs while doing year round VADA testing.
Hopkins will go down as the better fighter simply because he has the record at middleweight and then went up in weight and won more titles and faced tougher competition. Who are GGG top 5 wins?
Daniel Jacobs?
Kell Brook?
Saul Alvarez?
Who else
Hopkins has:
Felix Trinidad
Oscar De La Hoya
Antonio Tarver
Ronald Wright
Kelly Pavlik
Take out Oscar,,,

The fight was offered on more than one occasion. GGG already talked about moving up for a big fight so that wouldn't be an issue. They never even wanted it to begin with. Ward had no issue making a fight with Kovalev so I doubt the GGG fight would have been an issue. It would have done better numbers on PPV for both of them.
The Kovalev fight was at 175.
That has been debunked so many times, so here are some key pointers.
-50/50 split
-Oakland
-No catchweight
-Ward needed tune-up fights

Of course he has a loss that is what happens when you face elite fighters. Hopkins at least moved up in weight to face the best available competition even when past his prime. GGG wasn't even to go up 1 weight class to face Ward when it would have been for the #1 P4P spot. You can't compare that guy to B Hop.

So Hopkins has
-A Welterweight
- A welterweight/JMW who lost to Felix Sturm in the eyes of everyone.
-A non-middleweight fight
-A 36 year old at LHW
-A loss.
So a welterweight? WOOOOOOOOW

paf light middle, middle. everyone accepts that canelo has MW pedigree and hes still LM
WW was an outstanding one who grew heavier as he got older, I expect u ignore human factor like that.
He has fought how many fights above the 154 limit?
So somewhere I have never been?
It is pretty close for Wright then.
Out of 51 matches only 5 of them were above 154 pounds.
His 3rd fight, weighing in at 158¾
The fight against Stokes, weighing in at 155
Weighing in at 157 against Orozco and Sena
And finally his fight in 1995 where he weighed in at 158¾ against Leon Cessiron, for Wright's 29th pro fight. Then 22 fights later, all at 154, he weighed in at 160.
From that point on, including that fight, he had 6 fights at MW.
So out of 58 fights, he had 11 fights at MW, around 19%.
He had double that at the 154 limit, in a row.

like you originate from ESB. obv they were both mw.

5 total fights. 1 loss to Hopkins. 1 more loss. 3 fights left. 80%. 3 out of 4 is not bad. my bad though, 75%, np.
Not when Hopkins and Wright fought.
He was not a MW. At 170 you cannot be a middleweight.
they both originated from there, so it wasnt like he was picking on someone naturally smaller than himself.
Tell me again what weight was the fight at?
you need to ask that question to the person who brought up pavlik, not me. i had no wish to use him, your friend that you are defending raised LHW Pavlik, so you must defer to your friend or tell him hes wrong to use him. off you go to smack your friends bottom.
SO he 5 fights and only 1 loss outside hopkins (cant include hopkins as you are trying to prove against hopkins, so he dont count). 80% wins outside hopkins is good, lots of champs have resumes like that.

Okay, I think you need to finish school first.
contentious win, and this is an ATG you are talking about
Everyone thinks that ODLH lost, even ODLH
hopkins was not only much older, but a MW too. you have zero case ehre, you've only helped my argument.
Not when Hopkins and Wright fought.
He was not a MW. At 170 you cannot be a middleweight.
Pavlik is your best argument, good but overrated, and prone to self destruction, its quite possible he was on the back on brink of alcoholism when hopkins faced him.
Tell me again what weight was the fight at?
At the time of the fight Trinidad had 1 fight at MW
He had 5 in total, lost 2 of them.
so he had a title. that means hes above a top contender at MW.

OLDH's only fight before Hopkins above 154 was against Sturm, which he lost.
None since contentious win, and this is an ATG you are talking about
The Ronald Wright was at LHW, poor Hopkins needed to bring an OLD MW up 10 pounds. hopkins was not only much older, but a MW too. you have zero case ehre, you've only helped my argument.
Pavlik is your best argument, good but overrated, and prone to self destruction, its quite possible he was on the back on brink of alcoholism when hopkins faced him.
they were real MWs. people put on weight as they get older, to deny this isnt good.

I misremembered the Pavlik fight, but see above.

It's up to his 'fans' to vote with their wallet and stop paying for fights that aren't what boxing is about; the best fighting the best.
Saunders
Charlo
Canelo II
Andrade
Derevyanchenko
Jacobs II
These are the best fighters not named GGG fighting at MW currently, and they all have a chance at beating him.
