Do you think Canelo should change his name to Yellow Canelo? Here is a couple reasons why we think he should. 1-- He dodged GGG for three years, hoping GGG would have some real heavy duty fights, consequently reducing his boxing ability and getting older. Finally at the decision of the boxing commission he was forced to fight him. 2. Upon that ruling by the commission, he started drugging hoping he could enhance his ability enough to hold up against GGG. It sorta worked, the decision gave him a draw even though most sports fans, commentators and the boxing public saw the fight another way. GGG won that fight. No doubt about it. 3. Again forced to the rematch. He miscalculated his intake of drugs and was caught by the drug committee who does all the testing. So Canelo thought he could blame it on meat??? How stupid is that. Why not just admit he could not beat GGG and not make the fight for another reason. Ill health, bad leg, hurt shoulder, etc. etc. etc. 4. Again he is forced to make a rematch. GGG is older and Canelo will probably get drugged up again so he has a somewhat chance of winning. And he may win. GGG is getting a lot older 36 Canelo is what 23. 5. So, as a avid boxing fan, I think Canelo should change his name to Yellow Canelo, stop drugging and just fight Mexican taxi cab drivers like he did before. Shouldnt be too difficult for leoffler to force canelo into a vada program early. If he doesnt even try he really is trash.

Canelo also dropped a belt to avoid GGG as his mando a few years ago... Some here have a very short memory. I always liked Canelo on his way up but he certainly has been the chosen one. He was clearly gifted in the Lara fight (there I said it) no big deal, it’s the business of boxing. It wouldn’t look good for the chosen one to lose against Mayweather AND Lara. He’s too marketable for that. Dropping his belt to avoid Golovkin, well so what. Can’t risk a painful loss while cultivating a cash cow. Finally the draw against Golovkin was understandable too. Makes the way for a big money rematch. Peds use garnishing a 6 month suspension. What can anybody say? Christmas comes often for Oscar’s Golden Boy. As I said I always liked Canelo until lately. Gifts are one thing. Cheating by using Peds is an individual choice and Canelo and only Canelo is responsible for that “advantage.”

If canelo doesn't do well in his comeback it will reinforce the idea on a lot of people that he is not a clean fighter, dlh is not helping with his promise that canelo would be tested every day and then not signing for vada.

Canelo also dropped a belt to avoid GGG as his mando a few years ago... Canelo had no business holding that belt. He just took it because it was available and there was money in the fight. WBC were pushing the negotiations too. Either way you put, facing GGG as your first actual middleweight without easing your way in is suicide.

Let's not forget how WBC allowed him to fight for a vacant title against Matthew Hatton in one of the most bizzare title fights ever contested - and then defend it against Ryan Rhodes and 4 consecutive welterweights, with guys like Vanes, Angulo, Carlos Molina, Lara - all up in ratings. I'm not a fan and I don't think he's good for the sport.

Canelo dropping his WBC title and making all sorts of excuses really put me off Canelo GGG is now almost 40, beating him isnt that big of an achievement

Canelo is running out of options because he'll lose to any of the current/future belt-holders: GGG, Charlo, BJS would all beat him (again, in G's case). He'll probably continue to avoid testing between fights and juice up as much as possible to give himself a chance.

Canelo has never ducked anyone and did not intentionally use PEDs. Anyone who says otherwise is just a hater. You imbecile predicted Vanes to KO Golovkin, lol :D

Meh. I like boxing and I like seeing Canelo fight. Not much interested in the whole melodrama surrounding it. Only thing that p1sses me off about the situation is how bad this year is shaping up to be for boxing.

What in the hell are you talking about? No boxing commission ever forced Canelo to fight GGG or forced him to rematch GGG. No boxing commission has the authority to make anybody fight anybody. Canelo is 27 years old not 23. Damn, get your facts right or don't start threads.

Why make it so long just change it to Canyellow. But honestly it was a simple mistake he can't give us that big rematch with Golovkin but he's young enough to hopefully match up with another monster in the future.
