If Showtime are guaranteeing then I don't understand what Finkels problem is. Show them it's real and then negotiate. Finkel's problem is that Eddie won't confirm that $50 million would be accepted if the other terms are negotiated to mutual satisfaction. What stops Eddie from seeing the details and saying, you know what, you're right, I underestimated the value of this fight. I actually need 60 million. If he won't accept 50, even if the details are kosher, there's nothing to discuss. Notice in all of Eddie's comments, never one time did he say he'd accept the offer if it was real. Draw Up The Contracts and Send It Over! Either you sign them or you don't. That's not how it works. How can you send over a contract when there are hundreds of details that would need to be negotiated and agreed to? When Hearn offered $12.5 million, did he send a contract? Of course not. You don't start drawing up contracts until an agreement on money has been reached in principle.
