Before both of their recent losses. Lucas Browne's defeat to Dillian Whyte and Luis Ortiz's defeat to Deontay Wilder.
Both of their resumes and records seem to be of a similar quality. Ortiz's best opponent was arguably Bryant Jennings whilst Browne's best opponent was arguably Ruslan Chagaev.
PED's or not...Brownes win against Chagaev was a good showing. Given that fight a lot of people had Browne a live dog in the Whyte fight. Hindsight is 20/20 and Browne looked weak and old but he made his way there somehow so I don't think we should overlook his achievement. He was a heavyweight world champion...something Ortiz is yet to achieve.
I don't disagree, I'd love to see Wilder take the head off of that perennial low level contender. I just love poking fun at u because your hatred for Wilder is so rabid it clouds your judgement.
I do call Wilder a 2 bit nobody in the great scheme of things because he brings no money to the table and doesn't really have many fans when comparing him to Joshua. But I wouldn't say I hate him, no.
Just wish he would see sense and take the big offer Joshua has on the table for him so we can finally get this fight on. But it seems Wilder has other ideas and just wants people to think of him as the champ at the weight without ever having to prove it.
Dillian Whyte's day job is the doorman at Sid-Knee's apartment building. That's why he loves him so much.
I pointed out something that was obvious. How does that mean I love Whyte?
In fact, Whyte is a bit of a gob****e. But Wilder should still take him on because it's a fight people are interested in and it's Wilder's biggest payday. Forget that Polish nobody he's thinking of fighting.
Yeah, but Chagiev was well past his best. Jennings was at least in his prime, for whatever that's worth. Haha.
So yeah, Ortiz has the slightly better resume.
Fair point!
Lucas Browne fight like a toughman competitor.
To get outboxed by Whyte you need to have a borderline retarded boxing IQ.
Wilder would be out-boxed by Whyte as well. Wilder can't box for sh*t. Wilder is nothing but a punch. Without that power we wouldn't even know who Wilder is.
The only meaningful fight Browne ever one was a stunning comeback where everyone thought he was about to lose. The guy couldn't have been luckier. I think he also failed his PED test in that fight. Guy is nobody.

Ortiz his win over Jennings is very underrated imo
Jennings was fresh off giving Wladimir a very tough fight and had recently stopped Szpilka who I believe was undefeated at the time and Mike Perez.
Browne has a few names on his resume but both names were roughly (give or take) a full decade past their best. Even an old Thompson is probably a better win than Chagaev at that stage at least he had recent notably victories.

That's exactly why I think Whyte outboxes Wilder if they fight. But Browne probably has a better resume than Ortiz, but if they both fought Ortiz was stop Browne early, so it doesn't reflect anything lol.
I don't know but i'm surprised Lucas Browne struggling and arguably getting a hometown decision vs the corpse of james toney would be more of a thing people would mention or talk about, that showed how basic of a boxer he is, also the fact that lucas almost died pulling off a rocky like comeback against chagaev would say that Ortiz has the better resume and the more credible fighters. Lucas was taking a whooping in his best victory against a fat hepatitis ridden chagaev, ortiz ruined jennnings and even malik scott is probably a better win than most of brownes victories ie rudenko, towers, chagaev and.... thats all i can remember. scott would give browne fits
