#1 Canelo in September: let's be honest, there's no way they're passing up on a $10+ million fight payday at his advanced age in boxing.
Worst case scenario: No other fight except Canelo again in May, assuming their fight in September is extremely close or Golovkin gets robbed on the cards and fans cry robbery on Canelo's social media (cause we know he gets salty about reading the negative comments), thus, leading to a trilogy.
#2 Saunders in the winter: Maybe around January. I don't see them looking to focus on any other fight but Saunders to get the title of, "undisputed". More than likely, all the belts organizations will grant an exception since it's for all the titles.
#3 Option A: IBF mandatory needs to be done, so he'll probably need to fight Derveyankchenko, around probably May-June time period-ish.
Option B: Moves up for a big fight. Maybe against George Groves. I honestly think this would be the biggest money fight for him. I think this would be the best move for him if he's looking for one final fight to make money/legacy, although Groves is dangerous and a bigger opponent. Beating Saunders will probably lead to high interest in the UK for this fight if Golovkin starts mentioning a fight against who everyone considers to be the best 168 lber right now.
Option C: Retirement. To be honest, I wouldn't doubt him retiring is a potential option. He'll be 37 in April, and I don't see him fighting in 2019 to be quite frank. He made his fat paycheck against Canelo (likely, two of them to be frank), and closing out his career against Saunders is not bad at all.
I used to really want to see the rematch between Canelo and Golovkin, because I hate draws, and they're both fantastic fighters. With Canelo getting popped for PEDs and the rematch getting delayed, it's made me re-evaluate Canelo situation. Golovkin was mandatory to Cotto in early 2015. He became mandatory to Canelo at the end of 2015. Basically, Loeffler has been chasing Canelo down for more than TWO YEARS. In that time, Golovkin became a 2-fights per year fighter and has gotten jerked around by Golden Boy.
In order for the rematch with Canelo to occur, the following needs to happen:
-Canelo shows that he's been randomly tested from May to September, non stop.
-Golden Boy shuts their trap and makes the rematch for September. No bullsh1t.
If Canelo or GBP start yapping, Golovkin himself needs to go on record and say that he's done with them and he's moving on. I've had enough of it.
I wouldn't mind seeing Golovkin vs. BJS in August/Sept, then a mandatory against Derevyancheno in December. After that, either Charlo, or a Cinco de Mayo fight against Ramirez in 2019, followed by Groves or something.
Now that's a solid plan. Enough of Golden Boy's bullsh1t. I understand the business reasons (1.3m PPV is nothing to sneeze at), but enough is enough.
You are on every GGG thread, you seem to care more than you admit. You are one of his biggest fans ever, you spend hours every day thinking and talking Golovkin.
Lol this fag again....
1. He loses rematch with Canelo (I thought GGG won the first fight)
2. BJS gives him problems, possibly beats him (still favour GGG but would not bet on either, BJS CAN outbox him and would not surprise me if he won)
3. He can beat Groves in a tough fight, Groves is shopworn
4. Rematch with Jacobs doesn't happen, DJ brings nothing to the table moneywise and is just as dangerous if not moreso than Canelo (why he didn't abuse his weight advantage is beyond me, he had Virgil Hunter as a trainer FFS - either come in lighter and outbox GGG or come in heavy and turn it into a dogfight / clinching / elbows etc.)
5. Andrade loses, nothing special.
6. Charlo is 50/50 - unproven at MW but has youth on his side.
7. Sergiy gets beaten, don't see the hype.
He might just hold out for a last Canelo payday - if he wins, he retires OR fights Groves for a last fight and chance at becoming 2-weight world champion. If he loses, he might 'retire' until a trilogy fight with Canelo can be made. His career is done at this point IMO, he wasted his youth fighting cans and now the lions are knocking at the door
GGG has 2 big fights left after the Vanes fight.
He better win those fights and secure a legacy, best would be Nelo then Groves.
GGG will smash all the best middleweights to bits and retire undefeated. Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs, Andrade, Jermall and the tough Russian guy. That's 6 good middleweights. Line them up and GGG will knock them out. He will KO three top middleweights a year and retire undefeated and undisputed middleweight champ at 38. Just kidding. GGG has a hard job.He is 36 years old and middleweight is now filled with some very good much younger fighters. Two or three big money fights after May 5th and then retirement might be a smart way for him to go.
Next steps for Lil g
1. Dive in Canelo's mud tunnel.
2. Don't move until Nelo blesses him with another payday.
Lil g and his minions LOVED mandatories but now they don't. What happened? Lol...
Lil g has a Canelo poster under his pillow that's all he thinks about.
I'm not even saying Charlo, Jacobs or Derev beat him but those matchups are way more interesting than Canelo whose entire reputation is permanently tarnished.
But the way Lil g keeps obsessing about Canelo that's all he wants. A cash out fight. He's a businessman now.
Hopefully Canelo takes a tune up and forces this clown to face his mandos.
If it's Canelo count me out. Don't care. Those mandos look good though.

Its either Canelo, Saunders or Derevyanchenko next if the IBF will enforce the mandatory. IBF only might grant excemptions for the Canelo fight or the Saunders unification.
