I wish boxing would give us cards like the one at barclays last night! We had 3 big names on one card which was dope af!! We had broner, tank, and charlo! Do you guys think this will become a trend in boxing? How awesome would it be for boxing to stack cards with multiple big name fighters all on the same card!?!! I really hope this starts to become the norm!!!
what do u guys think?
How do you figure it's that far away? Please don't tell me you think the Canelo fight is happening in Sept because it aint.
Lol well i sure as hell aint taking your word on that. I have no idea if it will or not. If it does then it will. Then next yr itll be either third fight or that russian guy dibella been talkin bout. Then probably another voluntary etc etc etc. Geesh its crazy to feel you have to talk "boxing fans" into wanting to watch competitive fights and having a competitive exciting division. This kinda sh1t is what turned ww division into a fookin waiting room lmao. Mind bobblin for sure
GGG is a legit MW right? That's who he's trying to fight. Unless you think he's ducking Jacobs to fight the guy who beat Jacobs. That's crazy talk
GGG has fight couple weeks. Then in sept quite possible canelo rematch then after that ibf challenger i think, and only if there isnt a third canelo fight. So yeah like i said itll be a long while so why not work on fighting the top tier guys so ppl actually believe he has some kind of chance. I knowtheres few on here thats jumped on that bandwagon but most pure boxing fans understand he has fought one legged man and a bum. Simple as that. Dont forget this fiasco has also lead GGG into being a two times a yr fighter. Dont just hang out fighting bs opponents like these ww's are doing and not make fun competitive fights thatll build your fan base. And before anyone even thinks it....charlo very unknown.
Wasn't feeling any of the fights yesterday. The only people facing appropriate competition were Vargas and Broner and neither of them mean anything to the sport right now.
The best fighter of all 6 last night was Gervonta Davis. He made Cuellar, a good tough fighter, look like a bum! Broner Vargas was competitive because they are just okay fighters, nothing special. I like Jermall, too, but I'm still not sold on him completely.
Overall, a good card. Better than what HBO is offering these days.
i totally agree!

He took step aside money and fought a welterweight, willie monroe jr, and IBF mandatory Wade. Was forced to fight Jacobs and that fight was so close he shut everything down and bailed on the Saunders fight. Just like he's shutting everything down now and not taking anymore risks until he can get a canelo fight. There are guys who have earned their mandatory position and want to fight for their belt. Just like GGG earned his and wanted to fight for the belt. When Cotto and Canelo was BS'n with the belt and taking money fights instead ya'll *****ed and complained. Now GGG is doing the same thing
he also fought murray, lemiuex, and jacobs who were all top 5. you didn't mention that part for some reason...which top 5 guy is charlo fighting while he waits??? k centeno is prob worse than monroe or wade so next will be a top guy right? since thats what you bashed ggg for doing without any context of course. he had to fight wade, all the top mw's turned him down so he fought brook and monroe but hey WHO NEEDS CONTEXT! lets just say a bunch of bullsh-it. which guys have turned charlo down? i'd like to know that. did he try to fight jacobs, derev, murata, saunders etc..but they said no so he fought centeno? that would be an accurate comparison.
why not just have the same standard for everyone? it would be a lot easier to keep track of so you wouldn't twist yourself into a pretzel over and over
GGG was trying to fight Martinez when he was the champ then Cotto when he was the champ. Charlo is trying to do the same thing. Fight the champ
i know ggg was trying to fight the champ but what did he do while he was waiting? he fought 2 top middleweights and murray who was robbed against martinez(saunders also turned him down so thats 4 top guys). what is charlo doing while waiting? is he lining up all the other top guys like ggg did? is his backup plan jacobs, saunders, derev, etc... nope he's sitting and waiting. don't pretend they are doing the same thing cause they are not. you are a fan of the guy who wants to do less and you hate the guy who tried to fight everyone in his division. there is no other way to put it. you are twisting yourself into a pretzel here
im still a little miffed i got screwed out of seeing charlo knock centeno out at wilder/ortiz....would have loved to have been there when he called out lil g like that
You would have loved to have been there to see Charlo call out Golovkin?
Haha, why? It's a call-out. You can see that watching TV at home.
We had 2 awesome kos and a really good fight with broner v vargas. i wish all 3 of the fights were competitive as well but fuhhhhk it, ill take 2 awesome kos plus a really good main event any day of the week.
also fellas... DO NOT BE SURPRISED TO SEE CHARLO JUMP IN THE RING AFTER JACOBS BEATS SULECKI THIS UPCOMING SAT!!! U HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!
GGG is a legit MW right? That's who he's trying to fight. Unless you think he's ducking Jacobs to fight the guy who beat Jacobs. That's crazy talkeven as a mandatory that fight is year and half to two yrs away. So show us what you got in the mean time, stop the mismatches and prospects.

and ggg was trying to fight martinez, cotto, and canelo. did he just sit there fighting bums? well according to some haters sure but in reality he fought 2 of the top guys in lemieux and jacobs and saunders turned him down. oh well different standards for different folks. you are fine with charlo just waiting a long period of time. imagine if ggg had done that....
Why should Charlo had fought Jacobs when this was a WBC eliminator and Jacobs is fighting a WBA eliminator next week?
why did ggg fight top middleweights while waiting for his wbc shot? oh the good old days of 1-2 years ago where guys didn't just wait on their shot barking nonstop and not fighting anyone. never ever have high standards.

There have been some pretty good cards this year. And last. Been that way for a while now.
The card from 2 weeks ago was a much better card on paper. But this card had two spectacular KO's and a good main event. Those 2 KO's leading into the main event had everybody hyped up. And Broner-Vargas delivered
Sadly I hadda catch up this afternoon as I have to all too often these days with the US cards, ain't got the time I used to - or the insomnia for that matter, but I'm sure it was an exciting card. Shame.. you just don't get the same buzz watching the next day, even if you don't already know the result.
Course, I know that kind of thing is kinda necessary when you're building guys - or at least, it's the way we've become accustomed to things being done, but I still prefer better matched fights whenever it's possible. Sometimes even watching a regional match-up can be just as exciting, regardless of skill level, providing the levels and styles mesh is right.
Why should Charlo had fought Jacobs when this was a WBC eliminator and Jacobs is fighting a WBA eliminator next week?
Because i am a boxing fan and would like to see charlo actually fight legit mw... I mean if dummygraphic gonna start saying someone ducking charlo then maybe he should fight top guys at mw and not a one legged man and a bum lol. It fools the fools.
Really enjoyed the boxing I've seen this weekend. I watched the Barclay's contest on DVR today managing to avoid the results. I thought the Broner Vargas was intriguing. Not a classic, but very competitive. Vargas is a tough competitor, if he had a better punch Broner would've been in all sorts of trouble.
Quite enjoyed watching Davies again just because he and Charlo for that matter are exciting even if the opposition wasn't so great.
The Frampton Donaire, Cummings Keeler and Upton McKenna fights from Belfast were all entertaining as was Dodd Coyle from Liverpool.
Boxed out now :D
