Nothing wrong with this. Free market at work. It gives trainer an incentive to attract new boxers. Personally i think it's a great idea. If trainers reject the idea it will fail I agree, those trainer of the year awards are bogus, half the time I don't agree with them. Having a belt or many belts that the trainer can showcase in his gym I think means more than some award agreed upon by a bunch of biased or agenda driven writers. But still, the WBC is not doing this out of the kindness of their heart, they want that money. Sulaiman said on IG that it was requested by fans. Never have I heard that but if it's not too much money and the trainer is cool with it and can afford the fee. It's all good I guess.

I'm looking forward to the WBC Fan Title. In all honesty though, outside of having to carry around a belt, it's a good idea. Gives trainers more marketability to attract fighters and get paid.

Will the other alphabet orgs follow suit? Can we get a Lineal trainer champion in each division? P4P rankings? What happens if a trainer has Champions at different weights? Can he walk about like Floyd Jr. with multiple titles?

Happy that trainers can get some recognition but it's all a marketing ploy to rape fighters even more, in a few years promoters and mangers will also get belts.
