Remember when Ward wouldn't defend his title against Beterbiev and just decided to retire instead of fighting?
Or when instead of facing Dirrell he chose to just not. Dirrell was the WBC mandatory.
I bet you were all really upset at Ward taking on non-mandatory Edwin Rodriguez instead.
Just a reminder.
if he was dead set on retirement why did he try to fight frank buglioni? if he wanted one last fight why not fight beterbiev?
Did he fight anyone??? or did he retire?
You just learn Devervyanchenko last name yesterday. Calm down fool.
nah!, and i dont even think he has the goods to beat ggg...
dont see that fight as risky as some others do..
but compared to vanes, spike or munguia is a much better fight...
no reason to call him the boogeyman if you ask me...
That's a half truth and a lie in that statement. His choices are to fight an extremely dangerous IBF mando with 1 month notice for absolute peanuts, and BJS in June is not an option since he already has a fight signed. BJS is a possibility for Sept, assuming he doesn't price himself out.
And let's make one thing crystal clear here. Until about a week ago, 99% of clowns on here had no idea who Derevyanchenko was. The only reason they started hankering for that fight is because it gives them a chance to call Golovkin a ducker. If Golovkin beats Derevyanchenko, he'll become just another mandatory bum that he beat.
I know Derevyanchenko is the real deal. I've been pushing for him to fight Golovkin for more than a year, and think he's possibly the most dangerous MW out there today. To the rest of these fools, he's a convenient tool they can use to hate on Golovkin.
You're a good poster, don't become one of those clowns.
The reason people are calling for the fight is because he is the highest ranked of the names we've seen as possible opponents. It isn't surprising that posters want the him over:
1. Muniaga untested 20 something JMW.
2. Vanes who hasn't fought in 2 years
3. O'Sullivan a journeyman bum
It's not so people can label him a ducker. It's because people want the best possible fight on a weekend that has become known for big fights.

"Although Billy Joe can't recover in time for May 5 he could go as early as the first or second Saturday in June. I am making a huge offer for Gennady to come to a football ground in London. Otherwise we are just as happy to go to Las Vegas, where Golovkin is keen to headline for the first time in his career," Warren told Daily Mail.
both dibella and warren could very well be blowing nothing but smoke, but is up to loeffler to find out ...
and by the way nothing wrong with boxers making business decisions, but lets just call it like it is...
i honestly dont see Derevyanchenko going 12 rounds with ggg, to me he is not the monster or boogeyman some claim he is... of course there is some risk and if you consider that a canelo payday coulde be in play for september then the reward really isnt there for that fight... but at this point if thats an option i would much rather see that than the vanes fight, in fact no point in fighting vanes, nothing good comes out of it from that fight for ggg...
remember when ggg was mando to cotto and cotto decided to make a business decision and ggg fans screamed duck ??
karma is a bytch...
You just learn Devervyanchenko last name yesterday. Calm down fool.
he has the chance to fight either his ibf mando on cinco de mayo or fight for the last belt vs bjs in june... if he chooses to fight a bum in order to get the canelo payday that will be a business decision, it wont be about being active...

Just a reminder. what about not fighting stevenson after the dawson fight instead opting to fight rodriguez. the 2 fight deal was offered to ward by stevensons team .

karma is a bytch...I remember Cotto defending his pretend middleweight title that he won at a 159 pound catchweight against Geale at a 157 pound catchweight. Geale had already been KOed by GGG in a few rounds not long ago. GGG would have been a bigger money fight for Cotto than Geale. That wasn't a business decision by Cotto, It was a duck. A decision to fight a guy he knew he could beat rather than fight a guy he knew he could not beat. Cotto was never going to fight GGG. at any time for any money. He didn't want to get knocked out. You didn't need to be a GGG fan to see that.
Or stay more inactive.

You missed an important point. Ward also chased after Frank buglioni, so he was still willing to fight. He never actually wanted to retire he just wanted to.avoid tough fights. Even the most hardcore ward fans can't argue why he went after buglioni
He had just fought Kovalev 2 times in a row..how was he avoiding tough fights?
so does ggg... but he wants to make a business decision and do it in cinco de mayo... or else he can risk the canelo payday in september... its all about the business..
Or stay more inactive.
He had more than a month.
