Hearn's first U.S. event - Jacobs versus Arias last November - and Hearn sold less than 1500 tickets in an arena which holds 17,000.
Hearn's second U.S. event - Jacobs vs Suliecki in a couple of weeks - and he's on track for similar results. People at Barclays Center tell me they've sold only a few hundred tickets for the Jacobs fight, while the Broner fight at Barclays a week earlier has sold more than 6,000 tickets.
Seems like Hearn isn't quite a genius promoter when he's not promoting Joshua. Maybe people should start recognizing that it's Joshua that makes Hearn look good and not vice versa.
I think Haye-Bellew, Quigg-Frampton, Brook-Spence, Haye-Chisora were excellent ticket sellers too and some of those were stadium fights. I think Groves-Froch fights did well as well. I think the re-match sold 80k.
So to say it's only Joshua is an inaccurate statement.
What were Jacobs numbers like as a headliner before Hearn? I don't think he was ever a huge draw. Could be wrong though.brits Will buy any boxing match

Anyone who understands boxing knows exactly what Hearn is...
The ONLY reason he has had so much success in the UK is because he was gifted a deal with Sky, an entity which completely dominates the British TV market and further dominates the sports sector. He’s already being exposed for exactly what he is in the US, where it is a much more competitive market.
Hearn has no pull in the US and never will...
Huge difference between North America and Europe
A fight in Europe is a whole day event like most of their sporting events
Kind of like an NFL game
And the characters fighting need to be a little more known ( the undercard ) , in Europe they don’t seem to care
As long as the main event is on there good to go
