I really don't get it. Every day he is posting something about how he will beat AJ.
I've never seen someone this confident before ahead of a MEGA fight!
All this talking he's doing, he just gonna end up looking silly if AJ knocks him spark out, which can easily happen since its HW division and wilder really isn't that much better than AJ.
I’ve never seen a boxer not be confident in himself.
You have to have a certain belief or arrogance to put yourself in danger like that.
Wilder has knocked out every fighter he has faced.
He has the power to blast AJs head off his shoulders out the ring.
Looking forward to seeing them fight.
He's using AJ's name to hype himself up. Pretty much all the heavyweights are doing it.
Hype himself where no one outside of the UK knows who the **** AJ is
True, true. Your post reminds me of the Washington fight. Here, Wilder is looking for opportunities that just aren't coming and he's losing rounds trying to box this guy. So, what does he do? He just goes and punches that mufker and then the fight is over. Several of his fights have gone that way. After the 3rd rd in the Ortiz fight, I said, "Ortiz came with the right gameplan, Wilder is fuked." But, once again, Deontay's power is able to trump superior boxing and secure a win.
Listen to Foreman talk about the Moorer fight. He reminisces confidently, saying he knew no matter how bad he got out-boxed, he's be able to turn it around. That may be peppered in bullshyt but I imagine that's how Deontay views these fights. Because, that's how it's worked out for him. When you're packing a 44mag, you tend to feel pretty confident about yourself.
It makes a tremendous amount of sense from a martial arts perspective because you fight the way you train. Wilder will never fall back on his boxing skills to win fights.
Foreman and crazy as it sounds The older crazier Shannon Briggs who was fighting Lyhovitz. Briggs was not as active and was probably losing on points, and was not throwing much leather. But he won that fight with a KO and one second to spare.

Whats funny is that Briggs was always a closet puncher.
Why shouldn't he be confident? What does Joshua offer that would be too much for Wilder? They're both slow, sloppy robotic fighters in a lot of ways, it's a true pick 'em fight. One guy has about as much chance as the other.
Not many robots throw like this

This is true boxing finesse, screw your textbook style
I bet Wilder has been looking at tapes of AJ, Joshua isn't so different from Luis Ortiz both guys cumbersome and very slow.
Plus when you watch the Parker fight again Parker showed what a bit of head and good foot movement can do to AJ the only problem for Parker was he never had the height and reach plus he lacks the power big time, Wilder has all of that in his arsenal its just a matter of using it.
Wilder chin is just as good If not better than Parkers as well.

Yup. The world is a simple place for Wilder... the boxing ring is a place where he could be losing every second of every round and it would not necessarily matter. I think Wilder has the right idea to be the puncher that he is. All he really has to do is find a way to make sure on average he gets a certain amount of opportunities to throw that punch.
You can see with Ortiz that the minute he felt he had Ortiz in trouble he went in hammer and tongs. Wilder knows that no matter what, if he does not get Koed he will get an opportunity to catch Joshua and he is right to be confidant about that because that is precisely what he trains for.
So while his opponent is involved with decisions about strategy and concerns about the way the fight may be going, etc...all Wilder has to do is make sure he gets a certain number of tries and he will catch his man. Its kind of like David Haye but Wilder does not even try to carry himself like a boxer puncher. When he unloads his punches come from every angle, like a street fighter. and because of his reach its hard to guage where those punches will go. Especially when he is running towards his man.

He's got fast hands and KO power. Joshua doesn't move his head and is quite stiff, so I wouldn't be shocked at all if Wilder hits him with a 1-2 and puts him out. I've always felt it's a 50/50 fight, with both fighters having an equal chance of stopping the other. But Wilder's unpredictability would cause a lot of problems.
You give Joshua way too much credit he’s still a slow robotic stiff, wilder comes at you from different angles and doesn’t take rounds off like Joshua, and Joshua’s Glass chin won’t hold.
Doesn't take rounds off? Come on stop trolling boy.
His boxing is a mess but dudes get folded by those fists of his. He has every right to be confident. Mufker can punch.

Who is this Taylor of which you speak?
I think Wilder is tailor made for Joshua and will be dispatched of quickly. Joshua will likely fight at his pace behind a guard and jab and win every round and then strike and finish when he see's fit.
Regarding the OP. He's a prize fighter they are all confident especially at that level. He's in the wrong game if he doesn't believe in himself and Wilder also is trying to drum up as much interest to maximize his pockets gaining off of Joshua's name in the likely event that this is his cash out fight and the fan base will disappear afterwards.

Why wouldn't he be?
The guy has speed, reach advantage, toughness, and thebmost lethal weapon in boxing!
That nuclear right hand tags Joshua on the chin, he will go down and may not get up!
I can see AJ using more lateral movement and fighting very cautious in that fight!

except this may be the first fight where AJ doesn't have a reach advantage...
have to be honest and say AJ is just not that good he is very hittable and against Wilder that spells trouble
im not saying wilders anything special either but in a toe to toe fight its like 70/30 wilder ko's him first imo
