Seriously, in the face of indisputable facts I've never heard a Mexican EVER accept them and condemn them. They have an excuse for everything. You even have the likes of legends like Morales defending Canelo.
It's totally different when it comes to Americans and British fighters. When Fury was stripped off his belt....Brits took him to the cleaners. Never encountered a Mexican on here who was objective.
All things being equal I will cheer for the American boxer regardless of his race. For Prograis over Indongo, for example. That doesn't mean I will make excuses for him though.
all nationalistic fans are biased.
I know a lot of Mexicans who don’t like canelo and are ggg fans, it’s just canelo has the worst crop of idiots as fans in the whole sport so they give them a bad name.
I am American born and raised. I was raised by the beach and have been surfing all my life. I also played High school football and soccer. I severed 10 yrs in the USMC. Did I mention my skin is brown and I can trace my family roots to Mexico and Spain?
I'm a big time boxing fan! Now I'll admit I had a big time man crush on JCC senior and Roberto Durán (Panamanian) in the 80's-90's. Because it was the 1st time I could be proud of my descent.
But the again race really pays no part in my favorites! I like
Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Azumah Nelson, Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, Tommie "The Hitman" Hearns, Sugar Shane Mosley, Marco Antonio Barrera, Kostya Tszyu, Johnny "Mi Vida Loca" Tapia and Arturo "Thunder" Gatti.
The fighters I mentioned fought mostly in the 80's-90's except for Thunder who I respect the hell out of!
Honorable mentions to Azumah "The Professor" Nelson, "Irish" Micky Ward and Genaro "Chicanito" Hernandez.
For the record I like both JMM and The Pacman. Glad JMM got the TKO but I believe The Pacman won the other fights.
I also like GGG and Canelo! Very disappointed to see canelo run. I saw what I saw you so called boxing experts!
I really dont like ggg or Canelo. I personally think there r plenty of other mexican or mexican american boxers out there that i can support. For instance i dont think Zurdo Ramirez gets the praise he deserves...
You clearly have never been to a fight party in your life.... there are tons of hispanic fans that are pactards and flomos out in the real world, bro.
British fans are just as biased as any other group. They took Fury to the cleaners because Brits fuckin' hate gypsies, dude.

Povetkin got popped twice and the clan defended him and bashed Wilder.
Now Mexicans aren't allowed to back their guy, but Povetkin's peeps can defend the hell out of his two popped tests.
Most of the work I do is in Houston and the vast majority of the people I work with are Mexican. Not one of them have defended Canelo and alot will tell you straight up they think he was juicing. So yea, I have met more than a few. In fact the only Mexicans I know of that thought Canelo deserved a draw against GGG are online. Everyone of them I know in real life will say Golovkin beat him.
Met plenty.
Knew a guy who was Mexican and his favorite fighter was Trinidad, he was cheering for Trinidad over DLH/Vargas.
If you go to fights in the west coast, a lot of the fans are Hispanic/Mexican origin, most the Mexican American fans at stubhub were cheering for Lucas over Mex-American Molina jr.

what are you talking about?? canelo is irish, lol...
There was a regiment of Irish soldiers that deserted the U.S. Army in the Mexican-American War and fought for Mexico instead. They were called Saint Patrick's Battalion.
Like you said though, Mexicans and Irish share core cultural values.
Yes I'm aware the St Patichios(sp?) they seen them being treated by the USA as they had by the English.I guess there is a monument to them in Mexico would like to see it someday.
