I'm sorry, but.I just don't see it. Wilder does not have a better jab or accuracy than Ortiz. Fighting off the back foot won't help because Ortiz can cut off the ring and he is an excellent body puncher. I honestly think Ortiz wins this fight. Looking at the weight disparity, it doesn't look like it's going to be an easy night for Wilder.
I am not sure if Wilder could win early rounds with his long fast jab or not. It seems like he is able to land his jab on whoever he fights but Ortiz has a good defense.
Wilder's boxing skills are 100% underrated because he goes nuts when he has his man hurt. The timings of his 1-2s are top level. I actually would not be suprised if he outboxes Ortiz.
I hope that is not his Plan but what he can do is be more patient and smart and work off that quick snapping Jab but he doesn't have the reach advantage if Boxrec is accurate. Ortiz has a 1 inch advantage in reach again if that is accurate but hey we will find out tomorrow. Hopefully we get a great and explosive fight and may the best man win!
He doesn't have to outbox him he just have to land bigger punches. I don't necessarily think Wilder can knock Ortiz out but if he's left standing himself he should get the decision.
Wilder is going to stop Ortiz, people need to look at everything when going into a fight. I would be shocked if Wilder loses tomorrow, Ortiz has had how many rounds in the last 2 fights? The last time he went 12 rounds it was with Malik ‘Freaking’ Scott!! On paper this fight should be Wilder hardest fight but in reality it shouldn’t.
it's something called stamina. Wilder has to survive 4 rounds then simply outwork Ortiz by keeping him on the outside with his superior reach and footwork.
Ortiz is older and 30 lbs heavier. he will not be able to keep up with the activity and he will get outboxed down the stretch.
Ortiz has the better foot work and balance. I've also never seen Ortiz get gassed either. I really have a feeling that Wilder gets stopped.
