There have been roumors circulating since last week that Ortiz has injured himself in camp and the video above taken from today's media workout appears to show his hand swollen badly.
Seriously bad news.. Throughout the workout he wore golf gloves which raised questions, then he took the one glove off from his left hand and kept his left hand in his pockets like he was trying to hide something.
On a more positive note, here's a heartwarming peice showtime did on his daughter.
I think this the other hand anyway, but still

Luis Ortiz says he is wearing a black glove on his right hand because it's cold outside, not because there's something wrong with his hand. It's about 60 degrees today in New York. He did take off the glove, though, and opened & closed his hand #WilderOrtiz

I'm not a Wilder fan in the least. I find it incredulous that ESPN has him 11th in the p4p rankings. I just can't understand why hiss opponents and their fans cheat and make excuses before damn near every fight.
My heart sunk when I saw this thread. Then I found that pic.
This is a screenshot from a video prior to Dec 2015 fight with Bryant Jennings...
This dude has taken cheating to another level.. he is fighting with a loaded hand itself..
Nothing wrong with his left hand. There are numerous shots from the same video when he’s in the ring, close up and there is no swelling on his left hand at all.
Hahah so you think that was Anthony Joshua talking about the superior black race and his account didn't get hacked?
I think it's funny either way..
Of course it was him. Who would hack aj and dm a random ass unpopular boxer. He sure didn’t deny it was him
I dont think its from a recent injury. Hoping its something that has always been their. Nothing was mentioned about so i believe the fight will still go on.
Maybe after he looses he will have a convenient excuse.
He looked like the bone of his back hand snapped and is bulging in his skin.....
I doubt it's bone...the bones in the hand at that location are very small. Could just be a lipoma (a benign tumor made of fat tissue). When they are just below the skin they leave them alone because they are harmless. But whatever it is it's been there for years...it's not a new injury so it won't be a problem. Nothing to see here folks. But I wonder how this little rumour will effect the betting odds now. It might be a good time to put some money on Ortiz.
Phew! I was seriously worried for a moment there.
