Is it true or just a rumor?
Because if it is true then Al Haymon is really overpaying these guys.
If true, no wonder they fight once a year and wouldn't want to fight each other. When they can make a easy 1 million fighting a journeyman/bum.
I never said they were underpaid. I simply said no one forced them to. A simple statement you don't seem to grasp.

Well thanks for informing me of that.
I really thought that all of the fighters at Superfly 2 were kidnapped orphans who were forced to fight each other at the barrel of a gun.
I made it already idiot. No one forced them to.
And AGAIN, IDIOT
Everybody does jobs that nobody forced them to do, that doesn't mean they can't be underpaid.
Nobody forces cops, firemen, teachers, and soldiers to do their jobs either, that doesn't mean they're not underpaid.
It's a completely asinine argument to make that because nobody forces them to do their job that they can't be underpaid.
WHAT???????????????Yea most bus drivers and factory workers I see have brain damage when they are still in there 40-50s.That up there for dumbest post of year congrats. And don't come back showing # for how many factory workers get hurt each year because there is 1000 times more then boxers.Have you ever even been to a gym? There are guys who never fought more then a few pro fights(a lot of Ams though)and they have damage.
I was thinking the same thing and about to post but you got their before me.
Great post.
Your Top 4 are solid.
Everything from 5-10 is horrific. Nice try though

enough with that nonsense. Boxing doesnt even make the top 100 of the most dangerous occupations. A bus driver or factory worker is 100 times more likely to suffer a permanent injury or fatality than a boxer is. Should bus drivers all be paid millions a year?
Dude, GTFOH
Driving a bus is in no way as dangerous as getting in a boxing ring.
Do you think a 70 could get into a boxing ring with a prime athlete and not die?
Well, they drive busses daily
no asked them to.
They do it by choice not by force.
So do Hollywood actors, Wall-Street bankers, politicians, and every other high paying job, what's your point?
Always makes me cringe when they say such stupid "risking their lives" crap.

The Newcastle fighter secured a points victory against Dec Spelman at The Dome on Saturday night, before the rest of the show was later cancelled after Westgarth was rushed to Sheffield's Royal Hallamshire hospital.
The cause of his death has not yet been confirmed.
Westgarth's promoter, Stefy Bull, confirmed the devastating news on social media Monday morning.
He wrote: "God bless Scott Westgarth.

In Taiwan just a few years back, something like 300+died in a factory fire.
China has nets around the factories because the suicide rate is off the charts.
In the US, more bus drivers die on the clock than fighters during/after the fight.
That said, there should be a union in place so no fighters are at a currency exchange in Windsor cashing there $203 check for there 3 4rdrs in 10days.
Yea and how many more Bus drivers are there ????? cmon
Bryant Jennings made 1.6 to fight Wlad.
He made less than 1 in his entire career before.
He got 350k vs Kong.
2 Alist HWs on HBO and they split 800k.
Monroe got 100k+25% tix/concessions vs GGG. LESS THAN 300K.
Garcia is a big name, but 1+ mil for Salka and Guerrero.
Now them boys got Haymon by the short and curlys.
Yea all them fights were a while ago he has blown thru all that money Waaddel and Reed invested he is not overpaying anymore.Thats why your starting to see guys jump ship because fightin only once per year and makin normal paydays don't pay all the bills.(at least not for guys used to making more)
NO such thing as overpaying guys who are risking their lives in a ring to entertain us.
Whatever these guys get paid, it aint enough.

That's about right. But why the he ll does anyone care what they paid unless there UNDERPAID.I cant believe the amount of mini promoter fanboys on here. Not calling you that Pigeons(don't know you)just seeing all these other posts makes me ill bad enough to listen to this sh ite from the promoters but when "fans"get into it makes me wanna puke.

if its behind the scenes money mikey is full of sh-it about "taking the better deal" cause haymon was going to give him all that money anyway no matter who he fought since it wasnt part of the official purse and yet he picked lipinets.... you have to wonder why pbc went from having shows every week to basically nothing. maybe haymon is using that money to overpay his star guys so they stay with him. as long as the money continues ok but at some point dont you have to make a profit or it runs out? just thinking logically here unlike haymon the worst businessman on earth(cept trump)
Good points.
The earliest PBC model was a CANT MISS and the casual fans were tuning in.
His investors though began to withdraw last summer/fall, and it appears that paying Garcia 1 mil for the likes of Guerrero is coming back to bite him....US REALLY.... since it seams only Showtime is putting on the bigger fights now
It's a bribe from Haymon to keep him from signing with GBP. It's similar to Mikey Garcia getting the same amount. Nothing to do with their respective fights, Peterson and Lippnets.
When is the last gbp signed someone relevant?

He did not get 3.5 mil Haymon is not in the buis of overpaying fighters anymore. He did that to get all the talent and then blew it with the people he picked to run boxing part.He made a little over a mil and was happy to get it because no matter how good he is(and he is VERY good)he don't draw flies as with most PBC fighters because they have no promoter and they don't fight enough.Just go ask your casual sport fans who Thurman is and he has had 2 out of last 3 on network tv and he still aint got no fanbase because he don't fight. But he is more well known then Spence and he has yet to make 3 mil.
His official purse was $1.2M.

and in retrospective, he would've knocked cotto out
For sure.
He should have pushed harder to make that fight happen on his terms.
Easy payday against a faded former star.
Spence was overpaid purely for the sole reason of turning down the Cotto fight and subsequent promotional rights he would have given up to GB.
The Cotto fight would have made him a lot of money. Payday against Peterson was a cushion for that blow.

Yup. Oscar had been trying to lure both to join GBP.
