I wouldn't mind either 160 or 160 depending on the fight.
At 160 there's a possible Canelo trilogy, Jacobs II and Charlo.
At 168 there's Groves and Ramirez. I wouldn't mind seeing vs the DeGale or the Dirrell's either.
In the "real" world, Saunders definitely beats every middleweight aside from GGG and Canelo - and I am not saying he doesn't have the best chance of any middleweight of beating them.
The man is blessed with mad skills and now, finally has the fitness and discipline to fully exploit them. He made a complete mockery of David Lemieux, after loads of people on here and other forum posts said Billy Joe would be knocked out.
Well, let's finally see how good and true to his word GGG is, by taking care of business against Alvarez in May and then putting his belts up against BJS in a winner-takes-all-the-titles contest, later in the year. Jacobs has already had his shot and needs to earn that right, once more. If people think he walks over Billy Joe, all I've got to say is "don't be silly."
I don't know if he beats Jacobs but there isn't much from stopping that fight.
I think he's too small for those guys. He is thick but even at 160 he isnt even that ripped. he could still afford lose more fat if he wanted but he's probably a little bit lazy on the dieting side.
You do know that neither Charlo fought Rubio right?
And none of them are even willing to fight the others. All of them, especially Andrade are content to talk about fighting the best without actually having to fight the best. While GGG busies himself with Canelo they should be fighting each other so that GGG can fight the best of them. Its just a shame that they are all are content to fight inferior opposition in the hopes that Canelo are GGG give them their big money. Earn it. #lambsonly
You're right, my bad, it was one of the Dirrell's I was thinking of. Knew it was a brother. Which is even worse. The Charlo's actually are top fighters.
You are right, Jacobs, Saunders, Charlo, and Andrade should be fighting each other. But they aren't going to, for the same reason that G isn't fighting them now. They all want the big fight, the big payday, and the chance to win and become a star and make numerous paydays. They know they are in position for it and do not want to risk it.
G and Canelo are not in a different league than everyone else, in fact they might not even be the best mws. Many believe Jacobs beat G. Saunders and Charlo look as good as G did fighting opposition like G did. Charlo fought J-Rock at 154 though. I would love to see Saunders-Charlo or Charlo-Jacobs, but we won't. Because a fight against G or Canelo is about the same difficulty, same chance of winning, but at least two or three times the pay.
It is ironic, though, considering G fought inferior opposition his entire career until Jacobs. And then as soon as Charlo becomes mandatory, G is finally agreeing to the offer Canelo had out for a year.
It wouldn't surprise me. G spent years at mw when it was completely dead. Rubio was a top contender. When he fought a Charlo on PBC everyone was crying how Rubio is a complete bum. Which is true. But he was one of G's top victories for a while.
G has had various opportunities to face top opposition and has almost always declined. Until he had to face Jacobs, and then it was finally time to face Canelo because if not, Charlo will be mandatory. Now there is Jacobs, Charlo, Andrade, and Saunders. But why fight them for legacy when he could move up to 168 and beat the sisters of the poor in that so-called division. Those domestic level UK fighters at 168 might not be world level, but the Brits do like them some boxing and can probably bring more $$$ than Andrade, Jacobs, and Charlo.
If G beats Canelo, he might fight Saunders. But win or lose, he isn't about to rematch Jacobs or fight Charlo or Andrade. Everyone knows this. Which I admit, it won't help him on scorecards. The powers that be in boxing like big events, big fights because they bring big money. Canelo has shown not just a willingness, but an eagerness to be in big fights against top competition. G has shown an ability to close deals in one day for Wade and for Brook and a failure to be in any big fight until he was 35 years old. So, yea the ABCs and hbo probably do want Canelo to win. They see more $$$ in the future if Canelo wins. I didn't even watch the first fight, so I don't have an opinion on the scores. I'm not going to watch the rematch either. I don't like either G or Canelo.
I would rather tripple stay at middle weight to unify all the belts whether it be jacobs or Saunders.
I would prefer it to be BJS.
Then have the re-match with Jacobs plus a Charlo fight then maybe re-tire.
I don't see him fighting much longer than the next cpl of years.

If Billy Joe beats Jacobs especially by KO either of which I don't think would happen. A Golovkin vs Saunders fight would be huge in England. Big money for both guys.
Would like to see him unify 160 first. I would also like to see him rematch Jacobs. In a perfect world, Jacobs vs Saunders happens in the summer then GGG vs Jacobs in the fall for the unification fight. So GGG isn't wasting his time on Saunders.

Yawn, hell no. Unify MW, possibly break records, establish his dominance. SMW is such a horrid division, there's nothing there. Only reason for him to go there is to be able to say that he's a "2 weight champion", and we don't need another Adrien Broner.
He should unify and then consider his options. If he can comfortably make 160 there's no reason to move up. He won't do well at SM this late in his career.
