They are even offering buy one get one half price to ship down tickets for wilder
Lmao
A side making 1m and can’t sell tickets
Silly yanks
50-50 Doh! Lmao
did everyone get off that same bus :lol1:
Yeah. And there was a pitch battle to decide who got on the top deck at the start of the trip. Riding on the top deck of a double decker bus is as exciting as life gets in the UK, in between boxing shows.
England does have other sports and events? It's not just football and boxing lol. Boxing is far from mainstream to be honest.
To name just a few sports, but like America - there are hundreds which vary in popularity ; rugby, cricket, hockey, tennis, darts, f1. Football is obviously miles ahead of anything else.
Comparing sports events in Britian compared to the USA is ridiculous. The state of Texas dwarfs England, we have major sports going on at all times and Boxing is not on the top shelf anymore.
England has soccer and boxing and I guess "darts" the USA has basketball (college & pros) same with football, then baseball and track & field along with swimming and scores of summer & winter events.
How much NASCAR is going on in England?
Selling out a stadium in your home country is a terrific feat but walking into Madison Sq. Garden as the main event in a heavyweight title fight is the best! Ask any pro where the mecca of boxing is? NYC/USA
Ray
Wilder fans now like 90k only generates 10m
Not realising wilder is making 1m per fight
Lmao these guys are too easy
50-50 doh a side
Joshua earns 15m but he is the b side
Because urmmm doh! I gotta go get some some of that green stuff il come back to you doh
Maybe in England 9 million is a big number. All I know is Canelo GGG sold 20 thousand seats and did triple that number.
Again... huge difference between what you can charge for seats in an arena than you can a stadium. More people does not necessarily mean more money... and that applies both in the UK and the US.
Wilder still fighting Journeyman could be the reason
This is the main reason.
England is obviously significantly smaller than America, a fraction of the size - therefore tv money shouldn't even be comparable - but with wilders lack of popularity it is.
Joshua is obviously big in England (and growing across some other countries) but were he that big in America he would be 100x the income.
You seriously expect to charge people a bucketload to sit near the top of a stadium where all you can really see is the screen and not the actual fighters fighting?
That aside AJ selling out in an hour (and equally the gate numbers) are irrelevant because a lot of Joshua tickets go to resellers who then upsell... hence his fights don't really sell out in an hour (though they do sell out) and the gate numbers are actually higher than advertised considering Hearn and Joshua have a hand in the StubHub pot.

On the day of Wilders fight, you got the Super Bowl, World Series, game 7 of the NBA finals and the Jay Z Beyoncé concert. Come on guys, just too much other stuff going on. It’s not like the heavyweight champion of the world is fighting. Be realistic.
People like to mention Stub Hub but in a way it proves how big Joshua is.
All it proves is that those stadiums are full of people willing to pay for overpriced tickets on the secondary market.
AJ fans in the extra seating that Eddie Hearn installed at Wembly for the Klitschko fight.

us americans have many distractions. wtf else is there to do in other countries :dunno: 1 event ever few years :lol1:
Tell me about it! You couldn't move in my home town last Saturday after somebody started a rumour that there was something do in the town centre.

Ppl are not crossing states to watch Wilder. TV wise he could be watched more because the obvious size of the US.
AJ is on fire in the UK. In the end the match up is what matters and Wilder vs AJ is the fight that matters, not their bank accounts
It’s not like it’s record breaking gate numbers. The Klitschko fight did like 8 million. 90k people in a stadium and the gates only 9 million?
what the ticket price? 1 pounds?? i read somewhere the "90k people" klitschko fight dont even bring 10 mil gate revenue, that is patethic.
