I realized that March 3rd HBO and Showtime are having separate cards and both are shows I do not want to miss. I personally hate when they go head to head and feel its not good for the sport. Hbo has Kovalev and Bivol/Barerra, and Showtime has the big heavyweight match with Wilder/Ortiz. I find the heavy weight fight the most intriguing, but Bivol Barerra is one i have interest in too.
I prefer they don't go up against one another because I like having more fights on weekends rather than less. Staggering dates would make sense for maximum viewership.
When HBO and Showtim each put out a fight once a month, if that. It makes no sense to me to have them on the same night at the same time. I don't mind to much because I'll just watch one card then watch the other right after or on sunday, but it doesn't make sense to me.
Forget March 3rd this weekend there is the Garcia-Rios card and Ortiz-Alexander cards on the same day. Not too sure if its around the same time though.
... Ortiz-Alexander is acting as a lead-in for the Showtime card featuring Garcia-Rios.
I don't mind if one card is vastly superior to the other so I can watch one live and then replay the other but it would be better if we had Boxing every single week rather than the 3-4 clashes a year which we get.
As a boxing fan It would be better if they were on a week apart. It isn't really a big deal because I have 2 TV's in my basement so I can put both on. I will watch the SHO card because it is the far better card. I'll DVR HBO and watch Sunday morning.
yea Im gonna have to do that same thing, hbo on the tv and showtime on the pc
100% agree. Competition is great for the health of the sport. And I think if someone is putting on a weak show others in the business SHOULD try to hijack that date with a better show. Ultimately it'd strengthen the sport.
I understand that too, but Im a boxingaholic and like to watch everything lol
por que no usas tu dvr fam? Watch one card then immediately the other one. Just stay off social media till its done fam. Thats how I do it
Yea I do that too, i just hate the risk, and I like to support the sport by giving a live viewer, but i have no choice.
