NSB Pick 'Em - How many points for KO/DEC, round number etc?

Considering how bad scoring usually always is, that seems ok maybe even less for wide/close decision because it really is a lottery btw is this for the $ pick em? No just reg you all gonna start a money game?Who holds it?

I think you keep it as is and add other bonuses. Some I can think of (as an example) Rare pick- If you are part of 10% or less who get it right, you get 5 or 10 extra points. Predict KD- You can predict which fighter or fighters will hit the canvas. Extra 5 to 10 points. Connect %- correctly predict a fighters land percentage (within 1% point). Extra 5 points Over/Under on punches landed- correct guess by one or both fighters. Extra 5 points You can make some of these "pay to play". In other words, if the guess is wrong, points are subtracted. I might like 1st one but rest look like it would bring more luck into it.

Right now the way the scoring works is: 20 pts for correct fighter 5 pts for DEC or KO 5 pts for Close/Wide or 1-4/5-8/9-12 john l and MEGA have suggested changing this to 20 pts for correct fighter 7 pts for DEC or KO 3 pts for Close/Wide or 1-4/5-8/9-12 What do you think? Sounds good to me to get 7 on winner

True. Don't hate this idea. To go further down the interesting rabbit hole I've always contended to make this game the most interesting you'd take the odds and use them to configure the points for both sides in the fight. So you'd get less points for wider favorite and more points for dogs. With the multiplers I think you could keep more ppl in the game longer/more active since the ability to dig yourself out of a hole would be greater. And I think things could be really suspenseful at the end cuz max ppl could still be in the running to win the whole damn thing. . I'd love it if it were more odds based. Result 20 Method 10 Detail 5 Method should be more important and is more reflective of greater knowledge... as pointed out by Redd you can do pretty damn well by just picking the favourite each time out. Detail however is often close to chance and should not be as significant as method. Also I just like mathematical patterns. Also I'm for changing the DEC seperations from 12/24/36 to 6/18/36 for similar reasons.

I agree that the scoring in fights can be problematic and the judges seem to be getting worse. So if someone predicts the fight going to the cards, keep it as 5 (Same with ko) but predicting the correct type of decision (close, wide etc) give them 7, because it is harder to do.

I think it's fine how it is, picking an exact outcome deserves a good seperation imo so if anything an exact pick could be worth more extra points rather than less. It would be cool if a certain landmark of perfect picks gave an extra multiplier e.g 7 consecutive picks not just correct but with the perfect outcome is pretty damn impressive and I think something like that deserves a bonus reward. It's not like extra multipliers would be handed out regularly because that's very difficult to do, just a rare reward.

Though the method is tough to predict, I see it this way; most fights have a favorite and just picking favorites can rank you very high in the leaderboards. There's not much fun in that. Upping the value of the method, AS WELL AS the specifics of the method, makes it a much more competitive and interesting game. I'd like to see both worth 7pts.

20-7-3 sounds about right I think you should get more for getting KO,Dec right then score which can be off sometimes as we all know.My 2 cents if their worth that
