Let's assume Crawford adjusts to the weight well and is who he was at 140. And Floyd fans I'm not trying to make this a negative thing. He would probably be the favorite against all 3. I think the McGregor fight was a bit of a facade. He can do more than that. I think Spence would give him the most trouble with his size, strength and ability to cut off the ring and pressure. Though Crawford's pure skills and ability can't be overlooked. I think he UDs Thurman.
Respectfully disagree with your opinion.
I just think that lowly of a guy who runs away from Danny Garcia and wins a split decision.
Yeah I won't disagree that stylistically it is a favourable match up for Floyd but I think he is that far past it at this point that he's going to struggle with the young prime guys at 147.
If you really think about it Floyd hasn't looked great for years.
His last good win was in 2015 against Pacquaio and even then he didn't look too sharp in that fight to me.
Honestly the last time he looked sharp IMO was Canelo and the last time he looked like a guy who wasn't aging and slipping at a rapid rate was Ortiz in 2011.
I think he beats Thurman but would get hit a lot. I believe he would beat Crawford (probably). Crawford didn't look great against a slick Gamboa. Mayweather is a better boxer than Gamboa with a better IQ. I think he loses to Spence but wouldn't suprise me if he won. If he can still move he would have Spence chasing him and score with pot shots.
The only thing I question with an older Mayweather is whether he can still move. His reflexes has declined so he's missing and getting hit more often.
In his prime Mayweather beats all 3 by a wide margin.
At almost 41, i doubt he beats Spence or Crawford. I actually think he would have success v Spence though. If fully dedicated, in fighting shape and actually using his experience and skills, i could see him doing well v Spence. Spence is very good, but i think his style could allow a very slick experienced fighter to have some success still. I think a guy like Crawford would have too much athleticism at this point, he would be a nightmare for an older faded fighter.
Really wouldn't surprise me if he could beat Thurman. I thought Thurman looked quality when coming through and still think he's a good fighter but style wise, i could see even an older Floyd being able to nullify him. I rate Thurman, i just don't see anything in his style that an older Floyd couldn't adjust and deal with.
I think Floyd could still win wide UD's against the likes of Garcia though.
That said though, he is almost 41 so it would be no shame if he couldn't beat any right now. A mid 30's Floyd would beat them all.
I suspect that a big reason Floyd is retired & has not spoken of fighting them, is because he knows he can't beat these young lions at his age.
I think he came out after the garcia-thurman fight, and said he would beat keith.
At his age, he loses to all 3. The thurman fight would be the closest.
I'd favor him against Thurman, Thurman telegraphs his punches and doesn't have a decent jab, Floyd will stick and move all night even at 41 years old. Spence should be a favorite and Crawford should be a favorite too but it's a lot closer than with Spence.
;18421210']He always finds a way to win.
Thurman will get UD’ed, Spence will be more physical fight so Floyd will dance his way to MD. Crawford will be technical fight, and we saw what happens last time when Canelo tried to win technical fight.
People forgetting that Floyd if he wants to be is almost impossible to hit clean, he always finds a way to win.
Takes what you do best away from you.
And is STILL TODAY quicker and faster than all three.
he is 41. if he fights its just for the fans(and his wallet) at this point. any win he gets against legit top p4p fighters today should make him top 3 p4p of all time. there would be no doubt
He wouldn't. Which is why he retired.
People try to shame him for getting older, which is one of the stupidest arguments against the guy. He's not supposed to age? WTF? Some people must truly think he's a god.
The problem with Floyd is that besides his brittle hands his stamina was 10/10 even at 39 years old. And taking IVs before a fight.
People doubt that he's natural.

Remember four years ago he lost 5 rounds to Maidana using non puncher gloves and allowed to clinch non stop?
Never underestimate Floyd, he's really that good. But he can be beaten under fair circumstances.
People want Floyd to lose, and if he were to keep fighting and take a loss, it would be seen as some form of justice in the eyes of many, and he would be unnecessarily shat on for it.
And for the record, I'm not suggesting anything by making this thread. I don't think Floyd should fight anymore. I'm kind of giving him credit here, maybe too much to some people, by asking this question. That fact that he's been so great made me wonder if he can still compete among the best WWs in the world.

How would Floyd do at this point (age 40) against Spence, Thurman and Crawford at WW? | BoxingScene Community
