Vitali had arguably the best chin of all HW fighters, but at 40 you could clearly see he was starting to slow down and was probably suffering from the accumulation of injuries plus It wasn't like Vitali was as defensively sound as Wladimir.
Wilder would beat that version of Vitali, but If you go back further into Vitalis career I have no doubt in my mind that Wilder would lose then.
I'd give Vitali at 40 a better shot at beating AJ because AJ is slow, robotic, and predictable.
Vitali is one of the two guys I give a edge against the Wilder from right now. He had the chin, the size and the jab to fight Wilder head on, but if Wilder moved through the ring and used his speed advantage he could get a decision or late T/KO. Overall 60/40 for Vitali
i mean there were flowmos and pacttards back then but you have to give them slack because floyd and manny live up to their fans expectations and lived up their hype, but wildtards are just pathetic........the most deluded fanbase truly.....
wilder fans just want to see the joshua fight, nobody is saying hes the greatest, we understand hes not the most technical and has flaws but his power makes him a threat vs any hw.
You couldn't even put Johan Duhaupas to sleep, who's durability is probably nowhere near as good as Vitali Klitschko's since this same Duhaupas was knocked out unconscious by a chubby blown up cruiser weight in Alexander Povetkin in just 6 rounds..
what has povetkin got to do with vitali?
Are you seriously trying to form a "triangle theory" out of a non-existent triangle?!
LOOOL
40 year old vitali was fighting hopeless cases to extend his reign, he wouldnt be a good matchup for a prime world classwe.
Ends in a tko when vitali gasses out.
Young Vit was befuddled by the athleticism and movement of Chris Byrd.
Old Vit was slow, tired, and weak against Dereck Chisora.
Young or old, I put him to sleep. Imma different beast.

So I doubt you'd be able to do what you're claiming you would do. Since not only is Vitali Klitshcko more durable, but is also more skilled than Duhaupas.

Vitali was ahead by 6 rounds on all scorecards vs Byrd on the scorecard when he had to quit due to a shoulder injury, that means Byrd won ONE round vs Vitali in that fight.
Haha, Vitali aged 60 would beat Wilder. This gotta be a joke, look at these Wilder fangirls.
Theres a reason Shelly Wingel protected Wilder from both Klitschkos, Vitali is the worst matchup you can find for Wilder. Iron Chin, just as tall but much stronger, bigger, permanently throwing punches, ten times more skilled.

My bad I thought it was waldamir....vitali is better of the two but he still lost to Lewis. I would of love to see that match up with D.Wilder/Vitali.
And Lewis was at least 900 times better than Wilder and Klit did well in that fight especially considering he took it on late notice.
IMO neither Klit is a great fighter and I don't even think Vitali belongs in the HOF but he'd make mince meat of a guy like Wilder. He'd beat anyone at heavyweight currently at the levels they have shown.
Vitali not Wlad. Vitali beats Wilder half to death and Wlad with Manny in his corner does the same but in a much more boring fashion.
Vitali would brutalize Wilder.
My bad, I thought it was waldamir. I say D.Wilder drops W.Klitschko.
With V.Klitschko I would like to see that match up.
Wilder is better than Lewis? Wow even for this place that's idiotic.
Vitali was never dropped and faired well against big dudes. I think he's never trailed in a fight and he fought at least 15-20 fighters better than Stiverne. And his resume isn't even that good either.

Wilder doesn’t have a single noteworthy win
and despite that, he has looked sub par during some of these fights
That’s really all that needs to be said. If Wilder somehow beats Joshua, it would be down to Joshua being massively overhyped too...
Neither Klitchko ever fought well when they couldn't control the pace. For all his flaws, Wilder ALWAYS sets and controls the pace. Over thinkers like the Klits would never be comfortable but then again they'd never fight him. They would say "There is a line of fighters wait your turn" then fight guys like Fres Oquendo instead.
Physicality matters and Deontay Wilder at the moment is one of the best pure athletes in sports, not just in boxing sports.
He moves like a basketball player with hands that could spark anybody, especially a 40 year old.
YOu telling me a guy who got stopped by Chris Byrd would beat the best athlete in the sport at 40?
LMAO
