ANTHONY JOSHUA will face his biggest test against Deontay Wilder. That's according to former IBF middleweight champion Darren Barker who says the Brit boxing star faces a real battle against the 32-year-old. The blockbuster clash is widely expected to happen in 2018 with Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, flying to New York last week to meet with Wilder's team. Click Here To Read More]
Wilder has the best handspeed head movemnt and feet in the division aside from Fury. He has the quickest jab in the division and I wouldnt be shocked if he outboxed AJ or Fury.
Tyson Fury is by far and away the most skilled heavyweight, and he's bigger than Joshua or Wilder.
Joshua while a good fighter is very stiff and robotic, like Frank Bruno.
Wilder v joshua
This is boxing and you are going to get hit by your opponent. So far no one has been able to take wilder shots same for Joshua. Somebody's o has got to go!!! Great fight. Go USA!!!!
Wilder was getting outboxed by Gerald Washington 0-4 before the stoppage in 5'th... Of course Wilder will struggle against anyone with a descent boxing abilities.
2 somewhat flawed fighters. So who wins? The lucky one.
I happen to think Joshua will drop Wilder early on with a few of his bombs. Will Wilder wake up and swing for the fences, or will he fold? Both obviously can stop the other guy. This fight may beat all box office records for any boxing event. It is possible. And it will be a great fight IMO, no matter how long it goes... but we won't see a decision, we'll see a stoppage.
Do you think Wilder would've beat the Wlad Klitschko that Joshua fought?
I love how Joshua has suddenly become this robotic lumbering Frank Bruno clone and Wilder is suddenly the grim reaper... both look beatable and both have looked devastating. Wilder is undoubtably more open to shots though.
I think Wilder would have a shot at beating that Joshua, of course. It's the same Joshua.
He's still stiff. If Wlad was a few years younger, he would have flattened him. All credit to Joshua, he got the win but that was Wlad in his 40's coming off a loss and a long layoff.
I actually give AJ the edge over Wilder, but styles make fights and i think you have to give Wilder a real chance because Joshua is there to be hit.
Yeah cos Joshua is some master boxer...
He's flat footed, stiff, poor stamina, can't work until he is set, never shown any real inside skills or defensive skills or anything. People act like AJ is some highly intelligent fighter that is going to take away Wilder's right hand. Joshua is stiff and will most likely be a sitting duck for Wilder's shots because he has to set himself to do his own work.
Joshua is good, that's about it. He's not an elite fighter and it won't take an elite fighter to beat him either. Wilder has a real chance, especially when he always seems to find a way to land shots.
