Think about it.
Mayweather never once made a fight we all wanted when we wanted it.
Mayweather never made a fight with a live dog that didnt bring something to the table
Mayweather wouldnt make a fight that didnt make economic sense.
Mayweather didnt rush into negotiations and make emotional decisions
Mayweather didnt fight outside of his home city as a ppv fighter .
You had to have a good win to earn a mayweather fight . You needed a fan base or a large amount of viewers or be popular in some sense. .
London is now the heavyweight mecca of boxing. It was germany , now its London.
The best heavyweights arent american . The two americans that are considered the best are domestic fighters at this point. Their resumes are weak and they dont have many viewers watching their fights .
Wilder himself needs a shawn porter on his under card to do 650k viewers on showtime .
Wilder is trying to take pennies to a EUROS game. Thats like a knife to a gun fight.
Wilder is the like demietrius Andrade
While Josua is like mayweather when it comes to economics.
Wilder fights whyte and then parker or Fury. Then that makes more sense for joshua to take the fight and maximize his profits. Just like mayweather would do.
This is prize fighting after all
You said Mayweather fought fights that no one wanted to see when they occurred, but if that was the case he wouldn't be as wealthy as he is.
Thats not actually. True.
Abother poster wisely pointed out he played the villian. People just want to see him lose which he used the calculated matchmaking to his advantage. Good for him , he got rich.
Peolewanted to see him fight other fighters , but he always chose another option, even when he did a poll. Is what it is.
Notice how Larry ducked me in this thread :)
There's nothing in Texas. Vegas has a litany of resorts, casinos, entertainment, hotels, etc.
Texas has...Cowboys?? Jerry Jones?
Why not go where the infrastructure already exists ?
So dense it's painful XD
There's Mexicans in Texas! Floyd prefers fighting on Mexican holidays and fighting flat-footed Mexicans for that reason. Fighting in Dallas can bring in a crowd of over 50K if he would have fought Canelo there. Dense.
What?
Joshua is popular all over the world.
This statement is lame anc shallow. One guy is in his 40's and the other in his twenties.
Accomplishments , amount of fights and even time relevance isnt the question.
Stop ducking the real question and come with you're A game bruh.
Why wont wilder headline in Las vegas vs his last 4 opponents ? He would save 6 cents per dollar. Why??.
Show me on google trends how Anthony Joshia is globally popular.
So back to the point , why doesnt wilder fight stiverne spillka or arreola in las vegas and save 6 cents per dollar???
Of coarse a 40 year old hall of famer is more accomplished than a young champ.
Stop diverting and answer the question
I don't give a sh1t about where he fights and what it saves him
One caused irreversible psychological trauma to an impoverished island nation he has never set foot in and the other is only famous in the UK.

Most these youngsters dont know about
Pretty boy floyd.
They werent there to see any of it. They need youtube to go back and watch the fights. They dont know the atmosphere and the
Reality of it all in the moment of.
Most these young pamper babies only know of money mayweather after the hatton fight .
Lets not forget he fought shane off of shanes 15 month layoff.shane was long in the tooth.
But beside that , the point is mayweather only fought fights that made economic sense , he didnt care what the fans wanted or thought, he didnt make fights based off emotion .
He had a poll set up and didnt fight the winner of the poll.
Floyd and his team were pros at calculated matchmaking. Wilder had his chance to be the man and be bigger.
He didnt wanna fight wlad , he tried to wait him out. Also funny how the wbc mandatory is always Inactive or failing drug tests before and after they become mandatory.
The wbc has tried to keep wilder a champ .
They are weasels. So while wilders resume is weak and his inactivity or poor matchmaking (domestic level fighters) hasnt panned out to a large fan base he is on the outside looking in .
One must wonder why wilder wont take his action to vegas to save on 6 cents per dollar vs any of the opponents he has fought.
It has nothing to do with "homefield". It has to do with money.
Vegas has 0% income tax - ZERO. Fighting in Texas or New York you forfeit 6 cents of every dollar...or 6 million of 100 million...and Floyd did make that kind of money.
Why do that? Like what sense does it make???
Vegas has zero taxes, yet Floyd has IRS problems. Lot of good that did him.
FYI, Texas doesn't have an income tax either. So what was his excuse not to fight there? Maybe because he didn't want to fight outside of the protective umbrella of NSAC.
lol, this is hilarious..Floyd had to fight to get to the cash cow level...and even then he was fighting p4p ranked fighters and other world champions
So back to the point , why doesnt wilder fight stiverne spillka or arreola in las vegas and save 6 cents per dollar???
Of coarse a 40 year old hall of famer is more accomplished than a young champ.

Being able to say "I headlined arenas" doesn't keep the electricity on or food at the table. Floyd did all that during his tenure with Top Rank. Lucky for AJ he ascended right to the top and won't have to deal with those nonsense venues
It does when you make millions regardless, and anyone headlining events will likely find themselves in the eight figure range within no time. It don't cost much to put food on the table or keep the electricity going. I always love these type of nonsense rebuttals.
"Mayweather never once made a fight we all wanted when we wanted it."
Nonsense just watch all of the old floyd fights on HBO when the commentators said for example "i'd like him to take on mosley next" and Mosley came out after the fight- what happened ? Mayweather vs Mosley was next. And that happened with tons of other fights.
It has nothing to do with "homefield". It has to do with money.

To say you headlined arenas and stadiums throughout the world. Imagine saying you not only headlined in Vegas, but at Madison Square Garden and the AT@T Stadium in Texas. Having a career that spanned multiple cities and countries is the kind of shit I'd want to do if I were a fighter.
The difference is about a hundredmillion dollars, millions of ppvs, 20 world champions, multiple hall of famers. Any more dumb questions?
lol.....exactly
Floyd had to play a character a villain to hit his numbers, Joshua and other HW's who make ludicrous dollars do so because they are freaks of nature with life changing power. HW's has always been the money division with the exception of a few gaps in boxing history but the big money has mostly been with the heavies dating back to the end of the 1800s. So unless you get the adoration of the public or play the heel, your best chance at seeing the best purses in boxing would be the hw division.
exactly ...
Wilder is just g lo ing through social media getting people who wouldnt buy his ppv vs stiverne in a rematch. It had to be on free showtime , even showtime didnt want it.
Most wilders fans are streamers and people who watch ppvs at someones house as a group on one tv
Its completely understandable from an economic standpoint to want wilder to up his resume and fight parker, fury , whyte , pulev.
If joshua fights parker or fury , the likelyhood is miller and wilder both fight domestic level fighters rather than pulev or parker fury or whyte.
I think there's a lot more boxers trying to adopt the Mayweather model than Joshua. I doubt you'll ever see Canelo fighting in Brooklyn or MSG. Golovkin would prefer to fight in New York or LA. Joshua will stay right there in the UK as long as he can.
Golovkin and Canelo both acted like they were the A-side until the Jacobs fight. Just like Pacquiao thought he was on equal footing with Mayweather until he "lost" to Bradley and got KO'd by Marquez. After all that they were "ready" to negotiate.
As far as fighting fights we all wanted to see. I think some people just wanted to see Mayweather take fights he was guaranteed to lose.
Boxing is a business and whoever has the better business skills will put themselves in the best position to be the most profitable.
Floyd was the black hat, Joshua is the white hat (though Floyd definitely had some goodness in him that he kept quiet, and Joshua has a mean streak about him that gets ignored).
Cut the rest of your nonsense.
The deals will get done on terms that make sense to Joshua, just as Floyd made deals that made sense to him.
The move to try and let the media affect the negotiations won't work (after Duco sees that things didn't work, he'll take the Australia rights and whatever the final package offered by Matchroom Sport is and not mention another word about percentage splits on the event) and Eddie Hearn and Haymon/Finkell will hopefully hash out a deal for Wilder-Joshua this coming summer.
