Lard @ss is looking good in practice. It will be a different story when he steps in with a live opponent who is firing back at him. I highly doubt he'll get his cardio back to where it was when he fought Klitschko. I'll believe it when I see it. There's no reason he should still be this fat after insisting that he's "coming back" for such a long time.....Why is he still a lard @ss? Why all the procrastination? Because he's lying to himself....He won't be back. He's had plenty of time to lose the weight.
Wow. He is pretty damn fast for a 350 pound fatso. It's incredible to see a man that big move that quickly. I hope he is serious and keeps training hard. He is still very young and he could be champ again if he puts in the sacrifice and hard work and puts his heart back into boxing.
I want to get excited but elite boxing isn't in being able to hit the pads. It's about having the stamina to go 12 rounds with champ. I don't think Fury can ever come back from the damage he's done to his body. People like to think it's just about losing the weight. There's a lot more to it than that and I think we'll see this if/when he returns.
You shut your whore mouth!
His speed, footwork and body movement is insane for someone his shape. Truly a unique fighter and a one-off, whether you think he is good or not, he is the best 6'9 300lb+ fighter in the world.
I thought his footwork looked real slow. Upper body movement was good though, especially with all that extra weight he's carrying
Lets be realistic even in this shape he would tear both Takam, Stiverne!
It won't take time until he gets back to a proper fighting shape, im all for it!!
Ortiz, Povetkin, Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Pulev - The Heavyweight Division is looking good
I agree. In fact, I personally think he should be entitled to a title shot whenever ready, though he'd be wise to take a tune-up or two first. Summer would be quick. I think he should have the weight off for a year and go for it in the winter. More than anything, I just want to see him either get in or out. There's this box/celeb thing in the UK where fighters linger around and call everyone out, without doing much of anything (Khan, Haye, Fury, Saunders for a while, etc). Whatever he is, retired or not, let's get on with this.
My only real gripe here is the nandrolone issue, with him cheating prior to the Klitschko fight. H should still have to serve a suspension, I'm convinced the mental health card was played to avoid being sued by K2 for breach of contract, the QC he enlisted would most certainly have advised them their. But I want to see lineage re stablished.
Does he really deserve an immediate crack ? No not really, he's an adult like the rest of us and accountable for his own actions, this isn't a child we're dealing with here, well....

All jokes aside, his speed and movement are insane for the amount of weight he is carrying, he looks great considering what he has been through
AJ and Wilder are in real big trouboe if this guy returns to form
If he beats a too 15 opponent in the organisations and is in relatively modest shape I don't see why he doesn't deserve a shot at AJ by the summer, it's clearly a bigger fight at home than any other and I think I'd just like to see him win or lose and retire officially so we can get on with having a lineal heir at the weight, some will argue he's no longer lineal but has he really officially retired other than playing around ? The answer is no, the man is still lineal I'd usually go by what TBRB go with but in this instance I do not.

Fury also has a style that generally ages better than Hatton's style did. I think if he gets a couple of tune ups and looks decent then there's no reason he can't beat any of the best guys in the division.
That's true. I also should have mentioned that i think Hatton was finished before his 3 year binge anyway.
My point is though can you really abuse your body for 2 years and become obese and return to your best?

I'm a Fury fan but i agree, you have to be realistic. I can see something like Hatton v Senchenko if he fights someone decent. Hatton spent 3 years out taking coke and drinking. He also had 4 stone to lose which is probably similar to Fury now when you consider their sizes. Hatton was in that fight and you could see shades of the old prime Hatton and see he would have destroyed Senchenko but he just couldn't do the job anymore, the range wasn't there and couldn't take it when it was put on him.
That said, who knows. Fury is only 29 and has been very fat before and took the weight off and looked good. It just depends to what extent he was drinking and taking cocaine and whatever else.
Anyway, if he gets into shape and even beats a couple of decent fighters, it's still better than being out of the ring and obese. So good luck to him. I don't think anyone in the HW division is truly elite though, so i think he still has a good chance.
