You think 6'3 216lb Ali could take a Wilder right hand flush on the chin? You think he could rope a dope picking punches off his guard would work against him? Today's heavies are much larger, that means increased durability, there are no more 5'11 guys like Frazier. It's filled with 250lb guys that are just physically bigger.
Wilder's power is ridiculous and undeniable.
You do realise chicken legs is only 225lbs him self?
If wilder can’t knock you out he can’t beat you it’s as simple as that.
I’d add Lewis the to the big puncher list, I rate him as the top heavy in any list
Wilder hits hard but how come there's no footage of him on heavybag looking like a hard puncher
There's footage of Mike Tyson looking scary on bag. Why no wilder? Him koing 40 people isn't scary. They could be chinny. Him hitting heavybag with microphone on bag could make me think I wouldn't want to be that bag.
These guys are arguably the top 4 hardest punchers in Heavyweight history. I think Wilder is the harder puncher after watching Stiverne vs Wilder 2
You cannot judge that by this fight. Wilder had no punch resistance what so ever. Butterbean has highlight reels but you don't hear him being discussed.
Elroy made a good point as well: you have to measure against whom the KO is occuring to gauge power.
Smaller succesful heavyweights? Parker, Andy Ruiz, Haye, among others John Ruiz held a belt, Holyfield held the belt, Tyson... Lets see who is supreme in this group what if Parker becomes the next "big" man? lol. Then size would prove to not be that important.
There used to be a freak that was on all these toughman contests. He was a wrestler I believe and he could hit hard enough that he got spectacular KO's against former football players (whom he hated), and a lot of other less experienced contestants. So what? Do that to a guy with a chin and skills like Louis and Lewis did for example....
And finally some one mentioned the excellent athletes going to football, and how Deontay is one of them.... there is a long history of footballers trying their hand in the sweet science, look at the stats some time, they did not clean house thats for sure.
Foreman so far.
From what I have seen, Wilder just copies style of Klitschkos: jab, jab, jab...and than a huge cross. he has a big KO % because of law opposition he faced.
are you raised by a single mom? it's like you don't understand the optimal size is growing by pointing to a single freak case scenerio.
Let's look at the much larger picture, when was the last time a 5'10, 205 lb boxer held a legit heavyweight belt?
Thats what I thought, cant answer my question and showed how stupid you really are
So why couldnt Valuev KO haye? Deapite having a significant height and weight advantage?

Joe Frazier is 5'10. 205 lbs.
honestly, Dereck Chisora would knock him stiff. this is just reality.
So why couldnt Valuev KO haye? Despite having a significant height and weight advantage?
Its hard to tell, bombsquad might have this one in the power department, but all 4 of these AMERICAN top 4 power punchers have more power than those wussy british fighters. You notice when you try to put together a list of top punchers they are usually AMERICAN.
Stiverne would probably beat Frazier due to size and advancement in technology and training
You must be trolling, I cant believe anyone would actually believe that nonsense
Wladimir Klitschko has the best knockout record in heavyweight boxing history, bar none! This includes quality of opposition, weight of opposition, styles of opposition and so forth so on.
At this point, Wilder's knockout record is no more impressive than the knockout record of Alex Stewart:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Stewart_(boxer)
As soon as Stewart stepped up in competition, not only did his KO power diminish immediately, but so did his victories.
In other words, we can only compare Deontay Wilder's knockout record to other boxer's knockout record by comparing their knockout record against bums and journeymen. If we exclude elite level opposition, than the likes of Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko, Alex Stewart, Anthony Joshua and etc are all equally impressive, if not more!
Loooooooool he's been fighting bums, those other names were ko'ing legit opponents. Lets not forget Stiverene was previously ko'd in 3 rounds by a guy with more losses than wins, or are we just going to ignore that.

zero ko's against top 10 opponents.....bear in mind some of the people saying hes the hardest puncher in boxing history are the same people who blasted ggg for ko'ing bums and saying he has to prove himself.

With one punch, Deontay has the hardest right hand I have ever seen. It's a truly evil punch. I know other fighters all say Shavers is the hardest puncher they had ever faced off with.
