Joshua was winning every round and takam was stunned but that way early! takan was prob having his best round before final flurry.joshua was gassing pretty good from 7-8rd on.im sure he prob would have won but don't think he was completely out of any danger.he was tired.
That was certainly stopped too early, however Takam had been wobbled quite a few times and was dropping his hands. Props to both guys for fighting through a lot of pain and not quitting like certain fighters.
absolutely gargbage stoppage. I just rewatched it to see if there was something I missed. Nope. He's in the middle of a slipping sequence and looks ready to counter and the ref just casually walks up and stops it. He was still on the balls of his feet. Dumb.
Not as dumb as groingate, but dumb.
Takam would have lost, but he should have been allowed to continue to the end which is what he wanted - first guy to go the distance. They're stopping fights way too early nowadays. This referee would have stopped the Ward Gatti fight in the 9th and given Ward a TKO.
As soon as he got cut the ref was trying to stop it. Asking him if he wants to quit
Because Takam was turning away. Looking at the ref and dabbing his eyes. His body language after getting cut was very negative.
He was still sat on his stool when the bell went for the next round. At that point he wanted out. He just wanted the ref or his corner to stop it, so he didn't have to quit.
That being said he showed tremendous heart to continue fighting on and was having success. The stoppage was too early. He wasn't even down and nor was it as though the ropes were holding him up while he was being teed off on. He was take a heavy shot or too, but it wasn't a barrage of shots and he was pretty steady on his feet and throwing back.
Stoppages like that piss me off because everyone now focuses on the premature stoppage and it robs Joshua of either a wide decision or a legitimate stoppage/knockout. Also gotta acknowledge Takam being robbed of the chance to land a bomb in the last few rounds.
Klitschko stoppage was also BS. Joshua was tired and gassed as hell, and was missing pretty much almost all his shots in that flurry.
100% correct and Klitschko was a seasoned champion and deserved to be given the right to fight on. Joshua was hitting gloves and shoulders.
Joshua gets gassed, badly, after 5 rounds. Durable fighters need to be given the benefit of the doubt.
The Whole Joshua Hype Train Is coming apart.

not even close to the same

Yea I seen that.Dont think it changed outcome but it was BS. They need to change the ways he trains.More boxing gym less weight room.

I think this was much worse.and I do think Joshua would have went on to win.but he was tired!Klitschko was dropped twice in that round and Joshua had him in corner firing shots.but your right must of them missed.but I understand that one.iand I think most fight now(since NFL story broke)are stopped too early.you wanna save fighter?dont let Rjones,J Toney,Margocheato fight ahhhh the hell with Margo
