Thats what happens when you're used to hitting 82 mph fastballs then all of a sudden someone is throwing 98 with a sick breaking ball. Stay in your lane, prospects. Get some experience against different styles and levels of opponents before you make the jump in the deep end. Hasn't ended well for the best 2 prospects at 154 ...
That's why you guys not impressed by a guy like LOMACHENKO doing what he has against the level of guys like Walters and Russell Jr DKSAB. There's lots of really good amateur fighters who never amount to anything.
His team did lubin a real disservice they rushed that poor boy and threw him in the lion den that type of Ko he will prabably be ruined

If you can't fight today, you can't fight tomorrow. Most times when young fighters are exposed as not being ready is when they're dragged into deep waters and drowned.
Lubin was caught in the 1st. Experience doesn't stop you from getting finished in the 1st. If you get clip cold and have a less than stellar chin there's a chance you get stopped. Ask Terry Norris.
Might be a blessing in disguise for Lubin like it was for Norris, when SRL cherry picked him and got battered around the ring for 12 rounds straight.
Maybe he gets cherrypicked by Mayweather in a couple of years looking to shake off the rust for a major comeback fight.
Well if his chin is the issue he woulda never been ready to go to the next level no matter how many fights he'd had.
Fighters have made it to the next level with bad chins. If his chin is that bad then this is where he needed the extra experience to develop his craft and learn to hide it.

I just don't think we saw enough to make the decision that he wasn't ready. Jack was much more experienced and had fought better competition than Lubin when he got KO'd by Edwards, who isnt a better fighter than Charlo. These things happen
Maybe if he'd had a few tougher fights prior to last night then he'd have already been chin checked in less devastating fashion and worked on some ways to compensate for it
Lubin made a mistake and got caught in the first round. That has happened to a lot of fighters more experienced than Lubin. No way to tell from that fight if Lubin was outclassed
The guy got knocked out with the first punch that landed basically. It may not have said much about his boxing ability but maybe his chin is more than a little suspect at least? You gotta be able to take a shot at the top level. Hurd probably has half the skill of Lubin but that kid is like GGG eating shots and never stopping coming forward.
It isn't even about being impressed by Loma's wins over GRJ and Walters. It's about "do those wins serve as enough justification to call him top 5 P4P"? For me, the answer is "HELL NO".
And as soon as Loma fights someone else real who isn't 64 years old, greener than grass, or a neverwas, maybe we will see who DKSAB.
Totally agree about Hurd tho. He needed more fights and against real competition before he took on Charlo.
It looks like the KO was swift and the effects not long lasting so I am sure the kid will learn from this.
I don't care about p4p, just him beating the level of competition he has in under 10 fights

You sound ridiculous, and I get the impression if Loma beat everyone around His weight class youd still find ways to discredit him
Because Rungvaisai was like what? Top 100+ when he fought Roman Gonzalez the first time, I have Estrada, Rungvaisai at top 15.
I have them both right outside the top 10 as well.
My point is, GRJ and Walters were good wins, maybe damned good ones.
But, they aren't good enough wins to get you into the top 5 P4P unless you already wanted Loma there in the first place.
You have the audicity to say that nonsense wen a lot of people where picking Walters to KO loma.
What does that have to do with Loma being top 5 P4P? Lots of folks thought Chocolatito would beat Rungvisai. When he wound up beating Gonzalez twice that didn't mean Wingsam automatically was top 5 P4P.

Thats what I called him, a prospect. The guy had no recognisable wins and hadnt even gone round and somehow he got a world title shot?
i'm glad he wasnt permanently damaged in that one.
So Charlo outboxed him?
Nah I had Lubin winning the round until he got KTFO.
Fighting 10 straight cab drivers from Guadalajara did him no good though. Should have fought a guy like Trout first with experience and skill who's maybe a little bit over the hill and got that experience of a big fight and tough opposition.
