With all the controversy with the judging and the trolls on this forum, I don't think the normal fans had a chance to express their appreciation for this fight. Personally, i thought it was one of the most exciting fights in years, high skill, action-packed, fast pace, clean (very few fouls) fight.
In my eyes, this was definitely a 10/10 fight. How did you find the fight itself in terms of skill, excitement, intensity etc.
Idk about in a long time but I give it a 10/10 near classic fight!
It showed everything!
The vulnerabilities of both guys and even some of the best of both worlds(more so Canelo)!
The tension was beyond thick, nearly everyone was excepting GGG to send Canelo on his face at some point in the first 4 rounds of the fight!
We saw GGG's chin, durability, stamina, determination and even showed some nice defense here and there seldomly!.
We saw Canelo took his game to another level!
We saw Canelo's focus, chin, skills, footwork(who would knew that would be what helped Canelo outbox GGG), accuracy(economic wise), speed, body work and counter punching skills!
Favorite parts of the fight was when GGG attempted to bully Canelo in the middle of ring and Canelo landed a hard body shot and GGG immediately clinched!
Another was when GGG landed that overhand right and it pushed Canelo into the ropes and Canelo just shook his head "nothing" without even wobbling (he needs to do more of those overhands)!
This was a slightly above average fight in my opinion. Neither one brought their best in the ring. Canelo gassed more and faster than usual. Golovkin missed a lot and forgot how to go to the body. If this was a movie you would clearly see they were setting up for a sequel.
All three are middleweights though. Canelo has been.
Golovkin didn't land 74 more jabs than Jacobs. Most of his jabs was in one round, the best round for Golovkin. Other than they were close round by round. Compubox was unusually/usual biased for the HBO fighter.
for me it was probably a 7/8. The tension was intense, as I was expecting someone to hit the floor at any moment. I was a bit disappointed in BOTH fighters (GGG for lack of accuracy and lack of body work, and Canelo for only fighting 45 seconds of each round), and honestly expected a bit more from each fighter. But that actually is a testament to the quality and competitiveness of the matchup, as neither guy could really just run roughshod over the other.......
is refreshing to see unbiased comments from a ggg fan, i guess from both sides tbh...

7/8. it was good entertaining fight, not a classic though.
I agree, I'd give it an 8, could see a 7.
The stench of the bad decision also kept be avoided for me. I'd go with an 8 just for the fight but a 7 because of the decision.
like Charlo and Andrade doe... cause they're clearly smaller than Lara..:headbang::headbang:
Canelo being a middleweight is going to heat things up for sure. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hurd go to 160 soon, too.
I don't think so. GGG fans were content with the Jacobs fight even though he was "exposed."
But when Alvarez does it, as the compubox speaks for itself compared to the Jacobs fight, this time, A DRaW is blasphemous because most ggg fans voted an Easy KO! We're talking like 9:1 KO vs Close Decision in favor of GGG.
It's all karma, and the Jacobs fan are a bit goofy themselves. I and others also had Jacobs expecting to win before the fight...I recall that if Pirog and Mora did their thing surely Jacobs couldn't do well...
It's all Karma
Jacobs has a case for winning. Canelo barely has a case for a draw...

Miracle Man has a case for for saying he won. Canelo doesn't...
It gets a 7 from me. I enjoyed the fight and couldn't take my eyes from the TV for the full 12 rounds but it could have been better. GGG wasn't that accurate and canelo could have done more. I thought GGG won and look forward to the rematch IF it happens.
It was a 9/10 for me. It wasn't a slugfest or anything, but to me, it was a very enjoyable boxing match. I've replayed a few parts and keep finding more and more nuances to that fight on 2nd and 3rd looks. Both Golovkin and Canelo were doing some things they're not getting credit for.
I have really high expectations for the rematch. If they both come in fit and healthy (don't F up, G!), the rematch should be better than the original.
