As you all know I'm no fan of Golovkin but Canelo was exposed as a very one-dimensional fighter last night in the Don's sometimes humble opinion. Not many counters from the supposedly skilled counter puncher. He had a weak body attack, his defense was poor, his offense wasn't much better.
Canelo doesn't seem like a natural fighter to me and looked confused and tired the entire night against Golovkin.
I couldn't understand why some was speaking as if Canelo was head and shoulders above Golv in therms of his boxing but he was not exposed as one dimensional. He's not one dimensional. He is a bit overrated as the next great fighter. You can't be a great fighter when your stamina is always an issue. Unless he has some underlying medical issue there's no excuse for his stamina to be that suspect.
He gets tired because the Red-Haired fiend doesn't know how to mix up the speed of his punches, everything is hard and explosive. Like I said earlier he lacks ring IQ and doesn't know how to preserve himself for 12 rounds against a good opponent. He was sucking the wind by the end of the 3rd.
Plus his head movements are overexaggerated.

Although I don't Canelo Alvarez was exposed to literally be a 'one dimensional fighter', I do think that he was exposed to be EXTREMELY overrated in certain areas. I also think he was exposed to be more limited than what others were giving Canelo credit for. So even if he wasn't totally one dimensional, I would agree that he is still severely more limited than what many others seem to think of Canelo.
For all the claims of Canelo Alvarez's body punching, combination and offensive versatility being such a big factor in this fight, Canelo Alvarez was ultimately limited to landing the odd, single punch every few minutes. In comparison to how he was rated by some posters, he was definitely exposed to be very overrated and limited.
However, that still doesn't mean Canelo Alvarez himself was 'one dimensional'. It just means that his opponent, in this case GGG was skilled enough himself to prevent Canelo from looking as good as he did or as 'multi-dimensional' as he did in his past fights against inferior opponents compared to Golovkin.
All in all, one thing this fight proved to me was that Canelo Alvarez was never really more skilled than Golovkin. If Golovkin, at age 35 could make the fight that competitive against a 27 year old, peak Canelo Alvarez and be good enough to at least get a draw if not a win, then it tells me that peak Golovkin would've demolished and beaten Canelo Alvarez far more convincingly.
who?????????
Sorry friend but I can't answer any of your questions until you either:
A. Sober Up
B. Admit Canelo was exposed.
C. Give Golovkin his respect.
Any 2 of the 3 will work.
If someone was exposed, it was Golovkin, only one clutch,
forward plodder, robotic, without head movement/torso,
(zero defense), otherwise Canelo was excellent, pivotal combinations,
superb defense, counter punching beautifully.
So, there is your answer.
So he kind of lacks the ring IQ of previous Mexican greats like Sanchez and Chavez. And lacks the mental fortitude of guys like Castillion and Margarito to not allow himself to be put on the ropes?
who?????????
Yes because of natural size and durability and also his ever present power, if he tried the same thing with a guy like Ward he gets beat down taken apart and destroyed.
He would certainly get taken apart by Ward.
GGG is more one dimension than Canelo is, only knows one thing drudge forward very little movement or angles and not even cutting the ring off always leaving Canelo an escape route.
Yet It was more than enough to get the job done.

I dont think you know what one dimension fighter is, he boxed very well showed more movement and angles than he ever has, gassed as usual and couldnt hurt the bigger man, GGG is more one dimension than Canelo is, only knows one thing drudge forward very little movement or angles and not even cutting the ring off always leaving Canelo an escape route.
I had it 115-113 GGG.

excellent stratagy by canelo. it allowed him to make it thru the fight.
i had golovkin before and after the fight.
I see a friend. It was the art of survival, that would be a pretty good strategy for one who has been favored on the cards in recent bouts. Maybe Canelo is a better at understanding the politics of boxing outside the ring that makes up for his lack of ring IQ inside of it.
No. Not one-dimensional.
But Canelo showed that he's not the best strategist. It seemed he was laying back too much. He was winning exchanges, but didn't engage often enough.
He stuck himself against the ropes for no apparent reason a couple of times, and let Golokvin get in some scoring shots.

I wonder if you know what you're watching friend. Canelo looked to be outboxed and rather confused the entire fight. The kid is 1 dimensional, 1 1/2 if you want to be generous.
What are you talking about? Before the fight, he was supposed to be a defensive counter punchers. In the fight, he showed some good offense by teeing off well, and he also put all the "cement feet" accusations to rest. He moved and boxed extremely well.
Canelo has been getting better and better every fight. He showed more nuances to his game than ever before.
I saw a confused and fatigued fighter after 3 rounds. He lack of ring IQ was greatly exposed and his counter punching ability is extremely overrated.
Moving your feet isn't really a dimension unless you can punch on the move, which Canelo couldn't. Circling the ring simply isn't enough.
He was kind of exposed last night. Not like Donaire Rigo exposed but more like Chavez vs Whittaker exposed.
