he did improve but still struggled against old man GGG.

I had him losing vs Lara and noe yesterday. Canelo is good just not great. If he was a little more busy he could be way better but I think his stamima is just not that good

27 Years old, at Middleweight Division + Experience with cotto, Lara, Kirkland etc. etc. = 23 Years old, drained at 152 no experience and top comp to you guy. Idk WTF fans are calling "This is Prime Canelo?" or "GGG overrated?" Did they even pay attention the difference of movement/defense/counters/pacing of Canelo compared to the Mayweather fight? Or the Systematic pressure of GGG, where his shots where calculated, accurate, only to be slightly nullified with Canelo's defense. Or GGG nullfying Canelo's counter by having a good guard and slipping shots well. I couldn't even fathom how did they not see the difference of Canelo 2013 tp Canelo 2017. I just keep hearing that ginger albino has improved so much since his fight with Floyd but I've yet to see any evidence of it or if he has gotten better he's only made very subtle improvements. i dont think canelo pre Floyd could hang with GGG ,now he have cool head and expiriance thats makeing him a tough opponent he made GGG miss all night

Here's the reality for Canelo, he'll never get better than what he is now. He fights the same way he always has. He fights in bursts, and he fights for about 1.5 minutes of every round, then takes the rest of the round off, lays on the ropes and looks for counters. That's not a style that's going to last him for the next 5 years or so. Plus, he's maxed out. He's way too small to move up to 168 so he's stuck at MW. Which means all those guys from 154 are going to move up and go after him. So there's nowhere to run for him. He's not a special fighter or really an improved fighter. After he gets stopped by Golovkin in the rematch, and he will get stopped, it's downhill from there.

Really dudes? Canelo learned a lot from Floyd. His defense just carried him through a fight with GGG. He works hard at it and he looks a lot better than wannabe Floyd's like Broner and Berto.

Canelo really is a wannabe Floyd with bad stamina, and horrible footwork. He just needs to make it to the final bell and the judges will give him the bennifit of the doubt.
