Kovalev would have to face Stevenson, so i can't see that. Unless he moves up, which be a tough ask.
Broner probably has a chance for a vacant title at 140 against a weaker guy, as the belts will probably be scattered about when Crawford moves up.
Pacquiao would beat Horn IMO if the rematched. I don't think he's in any hurry however. So who knows with that one.
I wouldn't pick Garcia or Porter to beat any of the champs (Horn aside). So i don't see them picking a title up soon, although they will probably earn a shot.
Gonzalez may just be done now. I'd pick him to beat the WBA and IBF champs. But who knows if he will carry on.
My pick out of those names would be Broner.
I don't expect ward to hold on to all of the belts for too much longer. He's likely to move up sometime soon imo or he'll be stripped for not fighting his mandatories, in which case kovalev has a great shot at picking up one of the vacant titles. People say He's shot already but the only fighters thatll give kovalev trouble are ward, Stevenson and betebiev. Even then, artur is largely untested and inactive, while Stevenson has been feasting on a bunch of stiffs for years. So who knows how good either of them are at this point. I'd have kov as the clear favorite over everyone else at 175
kovalev is gonna retire soon or go to cruiserweight. I don't think he will even fight for the 175 title again

Maybe Pac if he fights in early 2018. Possibly Broner if he gets a shot at the vacant IBF strap that Crawford vacated. Unless of course Mikey takes a shot at it.
Kovalev but he'll always be considered a second rate champ after he was handled by the pound for pound best in the sport Ward.
Kovalev is as solid as they come, it's just testament to the legacy Ward has built.
the answer is broner, he will fight a bum for one of the titles that Crawford is vacating at 140.
kovalev can't beat ward.
Garcia doesn't even want a title shot
pacquiao could lose to horn again
Gonzalez is talking retirement
porter is my 2nd pick, because he is at least willing to fight anybody. so that will get him multiple title shots
I say Pacquiao due to the opponent he would've fought especially if its not in Austrailia cuz Horn is terrible!
The guy literally was doing everything Ward does except arm locks and of course the skill set is not comparable!
That ref should never be able to ref ever again btw!
Porter and Garcia have to go thru Thurman who's biding his time in facing Spence or they have to Errol which I'm sure both don't want that!
Porter been calling out Danny who just lost but yet Spence don't have a fight either so I find that funny no.one talks about that especially when the guy got your belt you had!
Danny talking about Horn and Mikey Garcia but won't even mention Errol, gonna be hilarious when a media member asks him about Spence!
Gonzalez is fuked man! He got old over nite and his style is not conducive to 115 his 4th division!
No way he beats Cuadras again, Estrada again, and Inoue would retire him forcefully if he hadn't already!
Rungvasi is basically a bigger, stronger, more durable version of him!
His only hope is the lower tier guys who hold the IBF and WBA and he currently could still lose!
Kovalev is done, after that journey statement I think he lost his fire!
Not to mention everyone knows his weakness and his aura is gone!
Ward is holding the division hostage by looking for novelty fights to retire on instead of calling out Stevenson!
Heck I think Stevenson could def take Krusher now but something tells me he still wouldn't fight him!
Broner now has a great chance since Bud will be moving up but I think he'll lose to guys like Indongo or Postol IMO! Those guys are rangy and all would need to do is volume punch!..
His best bet is going after the IBF vs Lipinets!
that don't mean **** anymore. just about anybody can become a "world champion" nowadays.
Cotto was off for two years and came back to win a vacant world title against an unranked japanese guy...that is officially a "world title", but does anybody actually rate it, of course not.
True.
I mean Jesus...Broner is what a 4 division champion? :lol1: :pat:
Litterally Roman can't touch a belt with those people surrounding the division.
I think he should retire because he’s cutting a lot of weight to make 115... he can’t go down and he can’t move up. He’s litterally in a division where it’s a shark tank and he’s a wounded fish.
Pac has a rematch schedule or due, D.S.G and Porter were suppose to fight no? Kovalev has a lot of rebuilding and was broken - straight up quit. Roman Gonzalez is maxed @ 115 and has real competition, two P4P entrants in Inoue-Estrada, then you got Rung, and Yafai all primed.
So I say Pac has the best shot.
