Rungvisai did what Ward did almost exactly: beat a P4P beast twice, once with a contentious decision (I thought Kovalev won and Gonzalez lost) and once with a stoppage.
Kov got robbed vs Ward in the first fight and basically quit in the second.
Rungvisai beat Gonzalez close in the first and obliterated him in the second with a KO of the year candidate with NO controversy.
How is Rungvisai not getting any P4P no.1 love when Ward did for doing with Rung did except in a less empthatic manner?

Ward is #1 Gonzalez got robbed in the first fight, and then stopped...just like kovalev, though I had ward up by a point. Ward is a more complete fighter, better in all ways, very rarely does 1 lose the top spot unless the top fighter loses and then t he #2 becomes #1 by default.
Your post is a whiny, puzzy post btw.
Because he's lost. But #5 is still good.

are you saying you cant be #1 if you have ever lost a fight? wasnt pac just #1 a lil while ago? did people forget about his losses! do we have a fraud on our hands??? did pac forge his boxing records? i want answers!
Did you have a problem with Wangek's headbutts in both fights?
i dont understand your point? i was saying dirty fighters shouldnt be rewarded with status. why would wang be rewarded with status if he has not only a worse resume than ward but is also dirty(not as dirty of course since thats impossible) gonzalez won the first fight anyway even with the dirty moves. they are literally the same fighter just one guy is more dirty and has a better resume
because ward has a better overall resume? is this really that hard? yes ward should have lost to kov in the first and possibly been dq'd or at least kov should have been given a rest for those low blows and yes a lot of wards past fights were controversial foul fests but in boxing we ignore all that and pretend hes an all time great boxer simply because he wins!

Check out my p4p threads, its basically a record of how I make p4p lists.
Anyway, Crawford is my guy at the moment and Rungvisai doens't make it into the top 10 just yet, with Roman dropping out. Usyk moves in at 10.
If Rung beats Estrada then yes, guaranteed top 10 p4p but for now, his 2 wins over a legend aren't good enough because his resume is thin and we don't know how good he'd be against someone more in their prime.
Or maybe I just messed up my list lol I wouldnt argue too much with anyone having Rungvisai in theres.
A loss for a p4p fighter is more akin to mean a fighter has slipped rather than meaning his opponent was really that good all along. Although a win against p4p fighter can boost someone to p4p status much faster, they still would have to dominant other fights too. If Rung can do keep doing that, I'm sure he'll be consensus p4p.
Vernon Forrest beat #1 P4P ranked Shane Mosley twice in a row and did not become #1.
Mayorga beat Forrest twice in a row right after Mosley vs Forrest and did not even enter the top 10 P4P ranks.

U can put him there if u want. P4p list is subjective. I have him #19 on my top 25.
he shouldnt be number 1 but i wouldnt be mad if ppl had him top 10.. he beat up alot of bums with losing records and guys making their pro debut lol. He needs to fight real competition now
Because Gonzalez wasnt p4p and Wangek doesnt have a great resume
I dont agree that he was number 1 but not to have him on the top 10 list at all? Your crazy.
Because Ward had many big victories in the past while Sor Rungvisai was considered as an easy fight for Chocolatte and nobody knew who the **** he was.

Because PFP is just personal opinion. However good you think a boxer is for his pounds today is where you rate him and nobody can really prove you wrong. It's not the same as resume although many keep thinking it is the same as resume. Resume is who you fought and how you did against them. PFP is how good you think a boxer is for his size today based on very recent fights. Unlike resume beating the number 1 pfp boxer doesn't make the Thai boxer number 1 unless you believe he really is the best for his weight in the world. Some may believe he won because Gonzales fought poorly and didn't fight at all like the best PFP boxer in the world that night. If that's the case then it makes no sense to rate the Thai boxer number 1 pfp for beating a sub par Gonzales. I have the Thai boxer inumber 6 on my PFP list and need to see him fight another very good boxer before I rate him higher than that. If you think he deserves to be number 1 then put him number 1. It's your list and just as good but no better than anyone else's list. Llke I said it is just personal opinion so there are no right or wrong picks for the top 10 PFP boxers in the world There are only different personal opinions.
Because Kovalev was also in the top 10 PFP listing at the time of their first fight.
Rungvisai, not so much. Rungvisai's win is phenomenal but sadly it doesn't carry as much weight because only Roman was well known and perceived as an elite name.
