Time(age) defeated Pacquiao as it does all fighters.
His legacy will not be diluted by the loses at the end of his career. The same would be said about Ali, Louis and Robinson.
Ortiz Guerrero maidana berto all were cherry picks
Maidana's last 4 fights before Floyd he knocked out 3 of 4.
Ortiz was Berto's replacement when Berto was 27-0 cuz Ortiz beat him. They were looking at Berto, 27-0 hungry and looking pretty good. If they would have picked Berto after Ortiz y'all would have said he was another Judah.
I mean, who else was left? The only guy I can say Mayweather dodged was Paul Williams and I think Williams had a great chance at beating Floyd. If the Paul Williams that showed up against Margarito fought Mayweather at that time, bad night for Floyd.
That leaves Guerrero and Berto which was his last fight, can't argue with them being the upper crust which really leaves Guerrero cuz who fights a beast for their last fight after 21 years? Last fight, soft touch no problem.
Floyd was in control of 14 fights which is how many he had after leaving TR. You picked 4 but only 2 have any real substance for your argument and that's really one 1 because one of those two was his last fight.
Pacquiao is fighting school teachers and unknowns like Algieri. B-Level Rios and FNF star Bradley.
Just put the mouse and keyboard down, go get a glass of warm milk. Pull the covers down and get into bed. It's all just a bad dream, keep telling yourself that --- it was just a bad dream.
Wake up fresh tomorrow and start a new day!
2 out of 14, again --- embarrassing. You're level is too low to compete with reality.
Of course that has EVERYTHING to do with cherry-picking. They inserted Manny when those guys were at their weakest. You can't give Manny for those wins. FLoyd beat them coming off hot wins, yes you get credit for that.
Dude, stop --- you're embarassing yourself.

Saturday's fights featured a bunch of 115 lb super flyweights...pac started somewhere close to that.
lol...when is the next time someone climbs 4+ divisions? Over a 20+ yr career.
Even going from featherweight to welterweight is huge.
Still hard pressed to find boxers who fight bigger, stronger fighters 95% of the time.
This generation is filled with bias and hate. When all is said and done people will remember Manny for having a legendary career and for taking chances, doing things no other fighters have done. Again, his legacy cannot be denied and never will be.
You people are so desperate to tear another man's achievements. Pac's legacy will never be dented no matter how you try to rip on it. He's already proven time and time again that he's a legitimate Hall of Famer and an ATG. The first or second best boxer of his generation. I don't care who you are but you cannot deny that Pac is a legend. Just accept that.
Dude that's irrelevant. Has nothing to do with cherry picking.

Uh, no. TR waited for his opposition to have big losses then they inserted Manny. Floyd beat his guys after they had huge wins.

Then how come the majority of boxing fans think Roy Jones destroyed his legacy?
Pretty obvious, for one their career endings are nothing alike. Roy was closer to his prime when he started getting KTFO. He didn't avenge his losses against Tarver and others in fact he lost the rubber match too, and then got used as a stepping stone by everyone.
Pacquiao simply made a big mistake against a known rival he has beaten several times before, in a fight he was starting to dominate and was close to finishing. The shoulder injury stuff won't be remembered in a couple of decades.
By the early 2010s nothing could destroy his legacy, you silly kid. Even now in 2017 there are still a lot of people who consider him the best fighter of this era, above Mayweather.
