Is anyone here a Floyd Mayweather fan but not an Andre Ward fan like me?

Ward dissed him first b4 the Robert Guerrero fight. That was after Floyd allowed him to use his gym. They've been going back and forth since. What he say, I missed it.

Wards style looks way better at 175 than at 168, much more sharper ? Anyone agree ?

Andre Ward: Every one of his bouts against a top level opponent has been controversial, because his bouts are decided by illegal boxing moves (headbutts, low blows and etc.) This isn't even debatable! Arum didnt allow Cotto near Floyd because he thought he wasn't ready. Mosely wanted no part of Floyd and there's videos of him making excuses that he was high risk low reward. Kostya wanted no part of Floyd, Floyd called him out plenty of times, Kostya fought Floyd's uncle, that should tell you something. Mayweather is the best boxer I have ever seen. Andre just seems super basic and boring to me. I don't care if he's dirty. At least when he's dirty he's attempting to fight. I just don't see why they group Mayweather and ward together. Then say it's the fanbase that's hating on non American fighters. I guess I can't join.

Ward is a very good fighter. I don't like the way he fights. He grabs his opponent every chance he gets and then wrestles, mauls and holds and hits. He makes that work for him. He has never lost a fight. Still many of his fights are somewhat clinch fests and wrestling matches. That's fine for stand up MMA fighting where the rules allow and encourage clinching and holding and hitting. They call it dirty boxing. Mayweather doesn't hold or clinch to excess. He lands his fast accurate punches from all ranges without holding his opponent while he hits him. I much prefer to watch Mayweather fight than to watch Ward fight.

I'm a much bigger fan of Floyd than I am of Ward but I respect them both as fighters. As previous posters stated Ward's style is very difficult to watch. He's like a bigger, slower, more clumsy version of Mayweather. He's not as fast twitchy as Mayweather nor is he as elusive, which makes him less appealing to watch but his ring I.Q. is definitely on par with Floyd's.

Opposite. I have long been a fan of Ward's, but not Mayweather. I can respect a fighter for being a fighter, and i have great respect for May in that regard. But, I just don't care for Floyd as a person, whereas Andre is a good guy who does things on his terms, no matter what kind of pressure and negativity comes his way. Plus, I like the fact that so many people dislike him. I hate it when everyone is on the bandwagon of my favorite fighter. I like rolling w/ the guy who proves them all wrong.

I am not a fan of Andre Ward. I respect his professional and amateur accomplishments but he's not as skilled or as entertaining Floyd. His fights are extremely sloppy and hard to watch, lots of headbutts and lowblows. And I think he's kind of overrated. He lost the first fight to Kov without a doubt. I'd say the same things about Gervonta Davis, who people just assume I must like since I'm a Floyd fan.
