We need a new boxing video game!

How did you speak "directly with EA"? Did you call, someone at a demo convention, know someone that works there, a friend of a friend, etc? The receptionist said "sure bud" before hanging up the phone

There was a petition awhile ago for a new fight. I feel like it will be a let down either way since it's been so long since the last one and they make them so infrequent. I would prefer they used current rosters instead of having nothing but last greats. The one version you litterally had to buy or unlock active fighter but started with Ali. That's backwards as hell. They try to treat it like street fighter rather than a sports game. There should be a feature that lets you determine how much power you throw into your shots. Of course big shots being easier to counter. It was entertaining but not yet a fully realized game.

People still play? I used to play alot , last time i played about a year ago. Is there still alot of people playing or has it died down? If you get on the OWC queue you can find a fight for your custom boxers in the middleweight and heavyweight division fairly quickly. Weekends are usually the best time or right after/during a big fight week. I'm usually on all day from my ps4. If I see people logged on I'll switch over and get a few private matches in. fight night champions was pretty good but yes we definitely need a new game we have a lot of new boxers that could be included in the game no need to recycle all the legends like usual but would be great to still have them as well as all the new fighters

im not sure what does better in the sales, madden which will be bought by mostly american, or fifa 'soccer' which gets loads of buys every year in the rest of the world. fifa 18 is out this month, cause of ultimate team aswell, they make silly money for just changing a game slightly. ea sports says they are making ufc games for now, but 2k boxing, they should be making a game if they can. I forgot about fifa. I know it's big, but nobody i know has ever owned one. and i go back to nintendo. In my circle it was nba,nfl,mlb,ncaa basketball and football. we may rent nhl from blockbuster. but no soccer.

No you didn't because an EA employee is not only under NDA, but also an "employee" wouldn't know that only a dev from the sports division would, and finally EA is notorious for firing their employee's as well as devs. They weren't voted the worst company in America 2 years in a row for no reason. I know 3 EA devs past and present, not employee's. One of which worked on the last Max Payne and the other two are in the sports division. The MP dev talks loads only because his team got axed shortly after release. The other 2 never say anything about anything because they're scared to lose their job. ~1.8M units in 7 years is considered a flop for a AAA IP...thats a fact. Between PS3 and the 360 there is almost 170 units out there. Do the math. I spoke to EA directly and they said they are making a new fight night. You can search up alot more games doing worse numbers than fight night did since 2011. And they keep making **** games, it wouldnt hurt to actually put effort into a well reviewed franchise like fight night.They are releasing alot more ****ty ones like UFC anyway is all im saying.

Huh? There's plenty of great fighters to put in the game. What are you saying? Spence, Thurman, GGG, Canelo, rigo, lomachenko, Joshua, wilder, the list goes on. Right. I'm sure one of those massive game developers would feel really good about making their money back.

put these numbers into perspective. in 3 days from launch, gta 5 sold 29 million. loooool. it is a great game. and fifa 17 sold 7 million on its first day. not sure about cod but i think black ops 1 or 2, or modern warefare 1 would of sold loooooads. on ps3 black ops 2 is still heavily played.

I highly doubt that. Perhaps you have a source? I work in the video game industry and McNulty is right... For a AAA game to be successful; based on an return on investment ratio, the IP needs to sell 2M-10M units. Talked to an EA employee. They have already made plans for a new fight night and will for sure make one. Its gotten alot of demand from fans on social media. Right now they are still making UFC 3, but a new fight night is on the way for sure.

You don't know shït about the gaming industry. Under 5 million units in 6.8 years is dogshït. The sell more untis in less time, thus is why they're selling UFC games and NOT boxing. Notice they don't do a game every year? Because they dont sell enough units. UfC 2 wont gain anymore buys. Most sales happen within the first year after that it dies down. Nba 2k17 has only sold 2 million and 2k18 is about to come out. Fight night didnt do bad numbers at all. Most games do around 1-3 million. You act like fight night was a failure lmao it really wasnt did average numbers like most games

Fight night in general is a great game that never really got bad reviews. UFC games on the other hand have been so ****. They are making a new fight night by the way, this is facts. Trust me. weird. fight night round 3 outsold round 4 according to the list but the number is very similar. i myself think ea sports should be trusted to make it. i think the other people have a much lower budget to make a new game which is why they havent made one. and they should pay the boxers accordingly to how many units sold so nobody can moan. hopefully next year around this time. i no another ufc game is being made. ufc 3 or something.
