rafael is a known top rank shill. i'll wait until we get some real, concrete numbers, verbatim, as they're made public. fairly certain showtime is obligated to release ppv numbers, as they're a holding of a publicly traded company. that used to be the case with HBO IIRC. not gonna trust some source who fat dan buttered up with the second to last donut out of the dozen he crushed for a snack.

Well I thought it would sell more than Floyd/Manny after the 1st presser. Looks like I was wrong. That said there were 3 mil+ illegal streams . If those were all purchases the fight would have sold close to 8 million PPV's.

It really wouldnt surprise me if it didnt. I think most casuals over here at least were pretty sure it was a mismatch by the time the fight happened and most people i spoke to streamed rather than paying. Compared to Mayweather vs Pac i think there was just as much talk about the fight, but not as much excitement to actually find out what was going to happen. Will do ungodly numbers either way though and everyone will have made a tonne of cash.

And I said just shy of 1 million for Maidana. I believe HBO stopped officially releasing PPV numbers after Canelo vs Khan, presumably because it flopped. Since then you have to rely on the word of promoters and "insiders"

Hate is a very strong word. I dont have a like nor dislike for Mayweather. Granted, he is not my favorite figther. But never really cared about him to dislike him. Had Mayweather fought Jeff Horn, it wouldn't even break 1 million. So much for the draw. Horn would still do his best numbers with Floyd. That's the point.
