Hatton only fought 3 times at welterweight. Collazo, Mayweather and Senchenko. He officially lost 2 of them (by KO), but many people think he was awarded a gift against Colazo. He thought he'd try his hand at welter and when Collazo hurt him and gave him hell he immediately went right back down to junior welterweight. He only came back to welterweight because he was offered a big payday with Mayweather. Many people believe that Hatton didn't deserve the win over Collazo. You're totally right. My bad, I guess I was feeling bad about dissing Ricky as a welter and tried to give him an extra win.lol

With the way boxing is as of now and the temperments and acceptance of opponents i can almost guarantee within the next 15 yrs or so there will be many fighters going 50-0 or higher.

Was surprised for the amount of positivity Hatton gave Floyd. LOL wasn't thinking thats how this story would read before checking it out. I've been reading too much Oscar "Salty" De La Hoya takes on Floyd & this fight lately I guess. Had a few convos with my friends over the years and i remember talking to them about how at the Gatti fight when Cotto and Ricky were ringside, how the former looked fine and the latter looked kind of fearful. Not completely scared, but fearful. When he fought Floyd and i heard he was depressed and once you saw him taking lines of coke out of sheer sadness and mentally being ruined i felt for him. So to see him give Floyd credit for the career he's built, as well as how much disdain Oscar has for him is just amazing. One guy took a solid beating from him, nothing life changing but clear. The other went straight downhill mentally after the loss and isn't close to where Oscar is in life yet he can embrace Floyd and Oscar goes out of his way to slander him.

You need to understand weight , I have gone over this a million times in this forum. Hatton and Floyd were JNr WWs fighting for a WW title, they were both 152-3 on the night which is exactly the weight Ricky was when he beat KT. When Hatton fought Collazo he weighed 159 fight night and said he felt sluggish and would never be that heavy again in a fight and he never was. The belt was a WW title but the fighters were Jnr WWs .

Mayweather is nowhere near the top five n maybe not top ten. Too much picking and choosing, fighting guys past their prime, getting a couple of gift decisions. But, an excellent to great defensive boxer who made brilliant business decisions. He fought McGregor; most commercially viable opponent for the least risk, instead of facing Thurman or Crawford and getting paid half or less of the Conor money, and losing to these young lions.

Ricky has to go down as one of the weakest WW champs of all time but thats boxing, too many titles, too many "champs" (Hatton finished 2-2 at welter, both losses by ko) Ricky was a very good 140 lb fighter but he was no welterweight Hatton only fought 3 times at welterweight. Good man. And I love the "Floyd was never out of second gear" remark I think he's right. Eventually, Mayweather will tell of his lack of training, more details of no sparring for the final month, and why he seemed to coast most of the fight until putting his foot on the gas. But for now, I feel like he knows it would cheapen the win against a guy he didn't really try against on any level, and who shouldn't have been in there in the first place.

I'm with Hatton. Top 2 or 3. Top 5 is a given. Anyone who has Floyd outside the top 5 is probably biased. Anyone one who has him out of the top 10 is straight up delusional. Dude was 50-0 fighting more champions than anyone.
