Some Floyd fans have now become GGG fans.
It's the same guys that were clowning GGG fans (and rightly so) for saying he "lets fighters hit him to make it a drama show". This would usually be followed with "face-first brawler", "no skill", "it's about hit and don't get hit" etc etc.
Now lots of those guys are saying he was letting Conor hit him flush, like the left uppercut he walked onto?
Newsflash; no top level fighter lets other guys hit him for a laugh.

Not even Rios, and that guy is a functioning retard.
I believe Floyd did let Conor hit him. Mostly because he changed his style a bit in this fight to be more aggressive, come forward. Of course he didn't necessarily want to take the punches if he didn't have to. Floyd was nearly completely flat footed in the entire fight and obviously going for straight power punches once Conor fatigued. This gave Conor the most chances anyone has had against Jr. and he capitalized on what he could.
Lol he didn't let him hit him with the uppercut. It was a pretty slick punch. Most of the punches that Conor landed were pitty pat or rabbit punch hammer fist lol. Of course he'll land some punches. But Floyd threw like 20 punches total for the first 3 rounds
Prob the weakest puncher Floyd has faced in 10 years
There's a difference between testing power and allowing yourself to get hit (ala Mayorga).
Floyd tested McGregor's power. This is evident by the infamous tap jab and the fact Floyd made NO effort to dodge it. That's why he's smiling - there was nothing to worry about.

That jab didn't even land, lol.
lol Floyd pressured him because it would have been much harder to try and outbox the taller man whos left handed and awkward, and most importantly knew how to use that reach.
He pressured him, gave it to the body and it paid dividends in the later rounds. Thats all there is too it.

oh look, evidence that this fvcktard still DKSAB.
Newsflash caulk boy, pro fighters can, and do let themselves get hit if they feel no threat.
Step into a gym sometime b1tchboy.

When you fight in the style that Floyd fought, you will get hit especially if the guy across from you is longer, bigger, and has reach over you. If Floyd respected Conor's power, he wouldn't have fought like that. He wasn't taking any punishment so why not come forward and throw out your regular style.
I played D-II college basketball and my son plays high school ball. His friends always challenge me and sometime I like to let them score just to sap some of that young energy out of them before I start bombing them. Floyd did the same to Conor.
Floyd is old and past it
Floyd was coming off layoff
Connor doesn't have proper technique and awkward
That's how he tagged floyd "a little" with his weak ass punches
Floyd was never in trouble, never hurt
Conor was never a threat so floyd just walked him down
Floyd goes forward more vs southpaw
Going forward also helped vs Conor weird, amateurish awkwardness

GGG dropped his hands in the both the monroe and wade fight and said hit me. If you can't see that then you are blind. Sorry.
You had to know this was coming. A poor showing by Floyd could only mean one thing--that he "carried" Conor into the tenth. The same guy who sucker-punched B-rate Ortiz is now suddenly going to carry an opponent? Not on your life.
Are they really saying that? lol.
Floyd looked like a 40 year old guy, two years retired. He was reaching and crossing up his footwork on a lot of those punches. Some of it was the fact that his opponent was really rangey and hard to hit, much of it was that he's far past prime now.
a) Floyd didn't purposefully get hit... but he did purposefully fight in an aggressive manner, putting his attack ahead of his defence.
b) Floyd has shown for 20 years to be able to block, dodge, counter, slip, move, dance, etc... to a level that seldom boxers have ever shown... it is already reasonable to know that he is an amazing defender.... GGG has never shown anything like that... so for him to say he gets purposefully hit, when he could defend... is saying something that you have never shown/backed up.
Where is this Floyd was letting Conor hit him **** coming from? He was pressuring, he was bound to get hit but lets look at what McGregor connected with, where was the power? He left it with his 4oz gloves.
Of course he didn't let himself get hit.
But he had such little respect for him that he just walked forward the whole fight so obviously fighting like that you are likely to get tagged a few times.

This. I knew it would surface. Saw it last night.
Floyd didn't even blink and this is immediately after McGregor landed a flush jab.
There's no doubt Floyd has diminished quite a bit, but I think his strategy put him at risk of being hit more often than usual. Floyd was still guarding and slipping as much as he could while coming forward, but his plan was to come forward and land power shots. Connor landed around 25%? No like Floyd was letting everything hit him.
He did that because he knew Conor didnt have boxing stamina and it wasnt going to be easy outboxing Conor on the outside.
Floyd been doing this for over 2 decades he knew theres no way a newbie will have 12 round stamina. If you think Floyd let Conor hit him on purpose you are stupid.
Nope, we could have made that more easy for him.
I'm not saying that literally he made Conor hit him, but he choose a different style than the usual boring and super-safe style.
He did the same thing in Maidana I, and even that time he said before the fight what he was going to do. Then look what happened in Maidana II.
