So let's all expect them make more regular fights for the rest of the year.
They may well be able to. Who knows?
They should have lots of funds for more fights.
Spence should have no problem getting fights for one.
Showtime is supposed to be cranking out lots of big fights after making tons of money from the freak show.
It's mid September and still nothing is scheduled.
Hope the cash from the circus is redistrubed to the boxing budget. Showtime is already pulling away from HBO in the sport and they can widen the gap if they put the May/Mc profits back into the sport.
I just want more good fights, whatever network doesn't matter
We don't know what Espinoza is doing.
He doesn't seem to care about their fighters having no fight schedules.
Showtime needs to fire this guy.
We all wish the truckloads of money their fans purport to have made is supposed to be added in their boxing budget. But record shows that's not the case.
The rest of the May/Pac year was abysmal for SHO.
It was like ghost town. They produced hardly any fights.
I know because I eventually canceled my subscription.
I was paying monthly for nothing.
Rogers cable even dropped Showtime boxing the next year.

I love HBO boxing. It's too bad it's pretty much over. They make so much money off Game of Thrones that they don't need boxing anymore.
HBO's demographics of majority of their subscribers are mostly non-boxing fans.
While a sizable number at SHO are, which makes them obligated to produce more fights.
Espinoza has been justifying TBE's huge presence in their network, although not fighting on SHO but on PPV, to supposedly increase subscription numbers.
How can they maintain boxing fans with this sorry state of seeing their top stars fight rarely?
I'm waiting on Showtime coming up with great fight schedules this month.
There's not much time left for November and December dates.
Meaning, many fighters would have record again for fighting once this year.
So let's all expect them make more regular fights for the rest of the year.

I'd love to see them put another fight on CBS
We'll soon see signs whether Showtime really made millions of dollars from the circus fight by the number of fights they're able to come up for the rest of the year.
Isn't that the point of the circus fight? Make truckloads of money to fund non-circus fights?
Lots of available fights can be made in the PBC house.
We should be getting fights every week.
Especially now that they made truckloads of money from the circus.
Can we now expect Haymon/Espinoza finally squash the inactivity bug in their camp?
I'm not exactly counting on it, but it would look ridiculous if Showtime/PBC can't come up with lots of acceptable fights when they just made lots of money in the Gregor/May fight.
Is there any proof that big PPV's = better fights on whatever network did the PPV?
I seem to recall HBO killing it with Floyd & Manny for awhile & there budget has been dropping since the late 90's/early 00's. I feel like PPV money is lent to the boxing arm of a network to put on fights when needed & then paid back with profit on the backend to the network not added on to the boxing budget.
Logic should say if they made truckloads of money off of May/Mac's PPVs,
then they should be able to add more funds to their boxing department.
HBO in particular have made no bones in admitting they would rather not do PPV's.
It's the promoter that insists on it.
Meaning, they neither make any money nor have negative/positive effect on their subscription numbers.
Showtime and its fans, otoh, have been claiming they make so much money off of Mayweather's PPVs.
No, there is no proof "that big PPV's = better fights on whatever network did the PPV" when we talk about Showtime.
In fact, the rest of the May/Pac year (2015) was abysmal for SHO.
I was hoping SHO's deal with Mayweather is different this time.
And made sure they'll make some money, not only TBE.
Any blip on your radar screen about upcoming fights from Showtime?
Should be easy to make fights for the rest of the year after making so much money from the circus show.
Agree?
People have pretty much gave up expecting anything from HBO.
I don't see any HBO fans in here. Do you?
OTOH, you guys have been the ones making excuses for
the miserable long layoffs going on in the Haymon camp.
You can't solve problems you don't want to acknowledge.
Showtime, as of today, has already produced 12 Showtime Championship Boxing broadcasts, with at least another 10 ShoBox cards this year.
What are you talking about? lol
A handful of fighters? The only fighters they have under contract are Canelo, GGG, and Kovalev. Nobody from PBC has a network contract. HBO is free to use any of those fighters for their fights.
I don't care about HBO.
It's fair to say Sho should be able to make tons of fights
after making truckloads of money in the circus fight!
Porter is mercilessly pursuing Gift Garcia with no let up.
Which Garcia most likely won't be able to turn down like the Thurman fight.
Gift can't possibly ask for a tuneup first like in the Thurman fight
because Porter's last fight is more recent than his.
I don't mind Spence vs Peterson.
I like both those fights. Spence can't just sit around waiting for Thurman.
Showtime/CBS is the platform for the premium fights (and the expanded ShoBox series). Under that, you likely have the Fox/FS1 deal for PBC, feeding in (BounceTV seems set with their quarterly shows as well).
Funny how folks are now openly making excuses for HBO.
