What do you guys make of the fact that Floyd didn't move on the outside at any point in the Mcgregor fight?
Did Floyd intentionally walk forward without foot movement to his detriment to make the fight entertaining?
Did Mcgregor neutralize Floyd's ability to move around the ring with his length?
Was Floyd just too old to move like he used to?
It was clear with all of the "This isn't how Floyd usually fights... This looks bizarre... Floyd is completely flat footed..."
That Floyd didn't fight how he usually does in the other 49 of his professional fights.
What do you guys make of that?
Versatility is the reason Floyd is one of the 10 greatest fighters to ever exist. He literally fought like Chavez Sr. Lol. Like the man can box with the best and be a come forward pressure fighter if need be. That's wild.
Let's not act like pushing a 0-0 fighter backward is some testament to floyd's versatility.
Floyd moving forward was to his advantage. Show me where after round 3 conor was able to control the center of the ring or sit down on any shots. As soon as floyd started pushing conor back...it was all arm punches. He took forever to reset...when he's not controlling the range, he's lost.
Father time has made Floyd flat footed. Floyd has always been able to stand his ground and dish it out and didn't need to before unlike other fighters that don't have a choice and fight one way.

It was an amazing performance. Floyd didn't take one step backwards and punished McGregor and knocked him out like I knew he would. Props to Conor for hanging in there as long as he did but at the end of the day there's a huge difference between the best UFC fighter and The Best Ever. Even at 40 Floyd was almost impossible to hit and showed why he's the best. He knew when to wait, when to attack, when to go for the kill, everything. I put a lot of money on him by stoppage and it was never in doubt at all. It was "for sure" money! I knew it.
Definitely the best ever in my opinion. There's never been a more complete and/or smarter boxer. There's been guys with more fights and more entertaining fights, but if we're just talking skills there's nobody in any era of boxing that was or is as good as this guy. After beating Pacquiao he had basically sealed his career, but it was great to see him come back and completely embarrass the biggest star the UFC has to offer. Which showed everyone why boxing is so much better than MMA.
What else is there to say? Salute to Floyd "Money" Mayweather on a legendary career! The smartest, richest, most skilled, most dominant boxer of all time.
50-0!
TBE! :hail::hail:
Stupid fight. What's stupider are the people analyzing this garbage fight. Forget about that "fight " you just watched...
Bring on GGG vs Canelo !!!!
Don't hate, it was great! Conor did well. He made me a fan.
That's how an older out of shape but very experienced guy spars with a novice who's trying to push the fight. He puts his hands up to protect himself and lets the young inexperienced guy blow his load and then makes him pay. Speaking of which...I'm so glad I didn't pay for this.
He didn't do it to be entertaining. He did it because he's not fast or sharp enough anymore to stay on the outside against McGregor. He knew walking forward with his hands up that it would panic McGregor into throwing shots that would tire him out. He sucked up a bit of punishment and then took over. Good gameplan but he wasnt great tbh. Timing was off and accuracy was poor. Father time has gotten to him.
floyd sucks as an aggressor esp when reach does not favor him
This. He doesn't throw combos like he's 22 anymore. It doesn't suit him. Always looks out of position
.....
Floyd always has the ability to walk his opponents down.. you see it in his sparring all the times. He just saw Conor was very susceptible to it.
