Who do they have left really? Canelo and Kovalev and GGG? And after the Canelo-GGG fight, there isn't any big superfight on the horizon for HBO. Losing Crawford and Loma is a huge loss, not to mention Manny.
HBO already was barely putting on fights and now they've lost nearly all their star power.

HBO will now have Alvarez/Golden Boy as their main provider of boxing content. Add in featuring the little guys, and likely Usyk (depending on how the WBSS turns out), and HBO has more than enough fighters to fill their reduced schedule. Three Alvarez PPVs, and 8 of the smaller HBO shows.
Like Elf Panda said it will outlive HBO. Before HBO it was ABC, NBC, US Sports network. Also, I think branding alone will carry them through till they get their **** together - HBO is the network of champions, it's still what every aspiring boxer wants to get on. HBO execs know what works and what doesn't. On a side note, HBO has produced some of the greatest TV shows of all time: Deadwood, Carnivale, The Wire, Sopranos, Oz, Game of Thrones - even when I'm watching boxing, the HBO logo still resonates and tells me I'm watching a quality product. It sounds dumb, but it;s true.
