Spence is going inactive again...

Real shame we haven't haven't had any news on Spence getting back in the ring soon. He is a true talent and the real future star of the PBC stable imo. Haymon should get him a fight asap. Even if Thurman needs time, get him a fight with Peterson for the end of this year to stay busy. That is a great matchup that isn't a complete mismatch but that Spence should win while adding a nice name to his resume.

He is officially the advisor of all these fighters and he's getting his cut (probably around 20%) everytime they step in the ring. However, I don't get it why he's letting all these fighters lose momentum every fvcking time. Maybe he's just a ****ty promoter. He has so much talent signed but the PBC brand is still not established yet. That's the complicated part I don't have an answer to. Obviously, he started with a plan and initial fund signing up all these hundreds of fighters. That fund is all used up, according to others. Now, PBC relies heavily on Showtime's budget, which is not enough to accommodate all these fighters. What I don't understand is why are other networks not stepping up and buying fights they deem would produce decent ratings. Fox, NBC, Spike, etc. Personally, I really don't care which network boxing is shown. I don't even subscribe to others' opposition to PBC being shown on many different networks.

There was no sensible explanation for it other than he's afraid to lose those fighters. He paid Leo Santa Cruz $750K for fighting sparring partners. Gift for $700K for fighting Salka. Lara $1 mil each for fights such as Zaveck, Rodriguez, etc. And so on... And thus those same fighters now want millions of dollars for tougher fights. The size of the event doesn't even matter at this point. What is abysmal is the number of fights each of them are not able to make. That's why PBC now stands for Part-time Boxing Champions. Jacobs and Charlo, for example, are available. Why would anyone care how much these fighters want for such fight? Isn't that the obligation of Haymon and Espinoza to come up with the money? Just like when Floyd fanboys say Arum should give what Rigo wants to make the Loma fight happen? I agree. It's not only Spence. There's Jacobs who has no scheduled fight yet, There's Gift Garcia who is likely to ask for a tuneup again before facing Porter. (Then wtf were you doing for the last several months or so? And here you're making it an excuse again to get a tuneup.) Thurman is still injured, or so they say...

So recent rumors are there that he'll be back December or early next year. Is this now going to be normal for Spence? A guy who had 6 million views in one of his previous fights, then see him back in the ring after 7-9 months of layoff?

You have to remember, this fighting once or twice a year thing makes it impossible for anybody to pass 50-0. Easy to pad records these days. Wilder, for instance, had a record of fighting seven times in 2009. Seven times. Six times in 2010. The guy must be in a hurry to look real.

It feels like the media is not utilizing its power and influence to help make fights happen by simply just reaching out to the people involved.
