This is an extended clip of mosley's interview on undisputed, The other clip i have seen going around is only 4 mins long in the extended clip Mosley talks about the misconception of floyds power and why he hasn't had a knock out. Says he hit as hard as the canleo!
Fast Forward to 5:20 if you have seen the other interview.
This fights a spectacle type fight.... duh. All depends on what Floyd decides to do, he will make it fun for a while and then likely turn it on and stop Connor.
Enough with this bs, if Floyd hit hard let a lone hard as canelo then he would of had knockouts instead of decisions, simple as that. He got his opponents a million times and couldn't knock them out. He has little stinging punches that's about it everybody shut up with that.
Just done actually watching the video and feel bad that I have been seeing all these comments about shane sounding dumb, he like you said made a lot of sense and spoke intelligently.
Ever since this fight was signed it's like a wave of stupidity has come over people.
Yeah a lot of people are fooled by hype/promotion and after the fight they'll be wondering why they had any doubt of the outcome.
That was because of his nose.
He's since had it fixed,
Loool
Connor is going to establish lead foot dominance, Floyd is going to crack him with a right hand counter, and Connor is going to realize he's in for a world of hurt.
You mean TRY to establish lead foot dominance :lol1:
Agree with you 100%
The first clean flush shot Floyd lands will shock Conor.
Connor is going to establish lead foot dominance, Floyd is going to crack him with a right hand counter, and Connor is going to realize he's in for a world of hurt.
Well the first straight right Mayweather clipped Manny with certainly shook him, and discouraged him from committing for most of the fight, and I'd think Pacquiao was more used to taking those types of shoys than Mcgregor . . . .
Excellent point dude. Good post.
In the past I thought Mosley was sounding punchy but here he seemed fine and looking at the video he talked a lot of sense, schooling the clueless Skip Bayless.

Floyd can hit hard but he throws not many powerful punches.
The only ones he throiws too hurt are when you miss him and get countered.
That's why people wary to attack him.
But the majority of his punches are just for show for judges
This idea that Floyd doesn't have any punching power is a new age thing.
Everybody in the boxing world know Floyd has power..he' able to deter world champions and contenders just with arm punches. So when he actually puts weight on his shot it's not surprising people say he hits hard. In the Pacquiao fight Floyd hit Pacquiao with one right hand out the gate and he just seemed to want to coast after that. That also plays a part in it too, all throughout camp you're told this guy can't punch. You end up with the ring and is shocked that he has good pop, and is very accurate.
That being said. Floyd definitely doesn't hit as hard as canelo
Well the first straight right Mayweather clipped Manny with certainly shook him, and discouraged him from committing for most of the fight, and I'd think Pacquiao was more used to taking those types of shoys than Mcgregor . . . .
Precisely.
Much worse for McGregor here. I can see him getting rocked early.
I don't know if Floyd ever hit as hard a Canelo, a naturally much bigger man.
But Mosley is verifying one of boxing's best kept secrets: Mayweather hits very hard.
It isn't really hard to believe if you look at it logically.
Floyd's record is chock full of good to great punchers, all of whom at some point decided it wasn't a good idea to walk in and land those power punches...and there is only one real reason for that.
The reason why there aren't more KOs is that Floyd is a safety first guy who would rather cruise to a wide points W than risk coming out of his defensive shell for a KO that goes down the same in the record books.
But, that is against elite boxers who are usually still dangerous all fight.
McGregor will not be like those men. McGregor is not elite.
Moreover, Conor has NEVER been hit as much as he is going to be hit when he is in against Floyd.
Mayweather bats over 50% versus elite top 10 P4P opponents; against Conor, that will be higher.
And, if it reaches 8 rounds, Conor will be in new territory since MMA fights max out at 25 minutes.
So lets recap: Conor will be getting hit more than he has ever been hit, at a higher percentage than he has ever been hit, and is looking at doing that longer than he ever has had to. Now, throw in the fact that Floyd may hit him HARDER than he has ever been hit and CLEANER (more accurately) than he has ever been hit) and this is shaping up to be a slaughter.
This will make the Gatti fight look like a tactical chessmatch.
Its not really a secret. Its part of why people say he is such a great defensive fighter, because he hits hard enough to make guys seriously question coming in on him.
Same as Rigondeaux. Yeah he can make you miss, but he makes you pay in a way where you stop wanting to apply pressure to him.
Compare Rigondeaux and Mayweather to another great defensive fighter like Ivan Calderon who didn't have that power and had to always be moving and active to keep guys off him.

Interesting what Mosley said about how boxers use all of their body to gain leverage on the shot which MMA fighters can't do because they need their legs to kick, check kicks, or even stuff takedowns.
I doubt Conor will have been hit harder than he will be by Mayweather and he'll probably realise that in less than 3 minutes - 40 years old or not.
Logically, we all know this should end in a stoppage somewhere after 5 for Mayweather. We're not casuals here.
Yep this. Mayweather has medium power by boxing standards. Conor has big power in MMA. Different stances and different techniques. Conor is not going to like getting hit by mayweather. Conor might start out aggressive but once he starts getting hit he is going to be hesitant to throw.
Conor and mma fans are going to be surprised when they find out mayweather punches harder than him.
