I mean, the young Ali, who was the best fighter in the history of the heavyweight division, never threw a body shot and mostly did a lot of jabbing, ducking, and dodging in the ring.
He was proud of it.
He wrote rhymes about how fast he was and how he couldn't be hit.
Why is that okay for Ali, but Floyd's supposed to just stand in the middle of the ring and fight like he's Siri Salido?
cooper was cut to the bone, and if u watch the fight ali was toying with him and carrying him to make his prediction of a round 5 KO come true. thats how he got most of his predictions right, he carried his opponents. the cooper fight was a good lesson for him not to do that, he still beat the **** out of him at the end. if u watch the whole fight, it was one of his best performances actually, dodging every punch till the left hook at the end ouf round 4. but thats how big ali's name is, if someone knocked him down he instantly got famous. even wepner got famous after stepping on his foot. how many times was joe louis knocked down? marciano? and other atgs? no one even remembers. if anything this proves how great ali is.
Exactly.
What great fighters didn't get caught slipping once or twice?
It's how they responded that made them great.
Jeez you're dumb.
Plenty of Hall of Fame fighters have been caught slipping by one punch and then got back up and beat the crap out of a lesser opponent.
You think Ali's the only one who had a lesser opponent land a lucky punch?
And even with that he STILL got back up and stopped Cooper in 5.
And Ali took punches from Earnie Shavers, Sonny Liston, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Cleveland Williams, and Ken Norton Sr.
He could take a punch from Tyson.

When confronted with cold hard truth you just call me dumb. Time to go on the ignore list. Another cat that doesn't bring jack sh1t to the table!
And Floyd Patterson was't blown up either?
The point of bringing upCooper is if Cooper could land that shot on Clay, Tyson would easy and Ali would end up like Jimmy Doyle --- DEAD.
Time to shut up now dickbreff, you're stinking up the joint!

Ali got dropped by Cooper, and? He got up and stopped him in 5.
Floyd Patterson
Tyson didn't fight anybody but a blown up Michael Spinks

Listen to me you dumb fcuking mongoloid. You're not going to cherry pick my quotes to suit your own agenda. You said this.
AND I SAID THIS
You don't just get to pick Holmes you dumb fcuking clown. You don't pick fighters that beat whoever at the end of their careers. You want to talk Logic, here you go b1tch.
I bring up Cooper because he dropped Clay like a sack of **** in his prime.
Cooper was there for Clay to win against. He was 33-11 and Clay was 18-0. Thats like Tyson getting dropped like a clown against Steve Zouski.
Left hook: Tysons best punch. 18-0 vs 18-0, Tyson wins. I've got supporting facts, you don't. Doug Jones beat a 17-0 Clay, weird right?
Tyson went to jail and was out three years. Thats a massive factor on the rest of his career you retard.
Tyson lost when he was 37-0.
Clay lost to Jones in his prime, Tyson lost to nobody in his prime. Douglas was knocked out. Bad officiating fcuked him over and thats a fact.
Liston threw both fights, Foreman took a dive, and Shavers got robbed, why mention them?
At least Tyson never won a fixed fight.
Listen b*tch
You're the retard here, not me
Tyson got dropped by Douglass and didn't get up.
Ali got dropped by Cooper, and? He got up and stopped him in 5.
Even if we do what you want to do to do and erase Liston, Foreman, and Shavers from Ali's resume (which is ridiculous). He STILL has a better resume than Tyson because he beat Frazier twice, Floyd Patterson, Bob Foster, Ken Norton, and even good contenders like Ron Lyle and Jimmy Young, who'd be better than damn near anybody in the heavyweight division today.
Tyson didn't fight anybody but arguably Razor Ruddock and a blown up Michael Spinks and an old ass Larry Holmes before getting beaten up by a blown up Cruiser in Evander Holyfield.
Ali beat Archie Moore when he was old too, but you don't see Ali fans bringing that up
And you seem to forget that Ali had 3 years in his prime missing too, remember?
Tyson went to jail AFTER losing to Douglas. Ali was exiled from boxing in his absolute prime when NOBODY could touch him.
Ali has Hall of Fame scalps. Tyson doesn't
Ali had all-time stamina. Tyson didn't
Ali had an all-time chin. Tyson didn't
Ali had all-time heart and faced adversity. Tyson folded when he faced adversity.
I can't believe your argument is so ridiculous that you've actually made me argue against my all-time favorite fighter.
But even a Tyson stan like myself knows that Ali's better
What's the shame in losing to Larry Holmes?
Listen to me you dumb fcuking mongoloid. You're not going to cherry pick my quotes to suit your own agenda. You said this.
I gotta disagree with you there.
Tyson's my guy, but he lost to Lennox Lewis my dude. Ali was too fast and too mentally strong for Tyson.
AND I SAID THIS
And Ali lost to Leon Spinks, SNIP, and Trevor Berbick at the same point in his career as Tyson was when he lost to Lewis.
You don't just get to pick Holmes you dumb fcuking clown. You don't pick fighters that beat whoever at the end of their careers. You want to talk Logic, here you go b1tch.
You keep bringing up Cooper, but Cooper could hit, so could George Chuvalo, and Cleveland Williams, and Sonny Liston, and Joe Frazier, and George Foreman, and Earnie Shavers.
What we do know is once he fought them, they embarrassed him in the ring.
Ali's got the best resume, the best wins, the most skills, the best chin, and the most heart in the history of the division.
It's not close, mang.
You keep bringing up fights with Jones & Cooper, as if that says anything.
I bring up Cooper because he dropped Clay like a sack of **** in his prime.

Why would you pick a fight at the end of Tyson's career and not compare young or prime? Doesn't make sense.
Cooper dropped him with a left hook and Cooper was a bum.
Replace Tyson with Cooper and you think Ali gets up?
Doug Jones whipped Clay's as$. Insert Tyson in those fights and Ali loses.
What's the shame in losing to Larry Holmes?
Dudes an all-time great.
And Tyson lost to Buster Douglass when he was 24, undefeated, and thought to be indestructable.
Plus, you're forgetting Ali's resume.
He fought more killers than anyone.
You keep bringing up Cooper, but Cooper could hit, so could George Chuvalo, and Cleveland Williams, and Sonny Liston, and Joe Frazier, and George Foreman, and Earnie Shavers.
Tyson , as much as I love him, made his bones fighting guys like Berbick, Spinks, and an old ass Larry Holmes.
I think he would've beaten Lennox & Evander in '88/'89, but we'll never know
What we do know is once he fought them, they embarrassed him in the ring.
Ali's got the best resume, the best wins, the most skills, the best chin, and the most heart in the history of the division.

YOu keep bringing up fights with Jones & Cooper, as if that says anything.
Dude, Joe Louis should've lost to the light-heavyweight Bill Conn & was being embarrassed by him until he knocked him out in the last round.
Does that make Joe Louis a bum now?
I mean, you could find an off night for damn near every great fighter in history, bruh.
Clay and Jones boxed a six-round exhibition in Louisville, Kentucky on October 27, 1966. UPI called it "humiliating" for Jones, who had hoped a good showing might get him a rematch with Clay, then known as Muhammad Ali and holder of the World Heavyweight Championship. UPI reported: "Clay toyed with Jones, landing his patented jab time after time. At no point did Jones land a solid punch."

Fake Source, the fight was in 63' and it wasn't an exhibition!
Jones had the edge going into the ninth.
Then Clay opened up. His hands pumping like pistons, he unleashed barrages of eight and ten punches at a clip.
Jones took it all and replied with punches of his own. Cassius, however, had a big edge in the last two rounds, especially the tenth, when they staged several hot trades to the delight of the crowd.

REALLY GOOD READ HERE!

Jones was then matched against 17-0 Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali). Judges Frank Forbes and Artie Aldala had the bout 5 rounds to four for Clay with one round even, while referee Joe LoScalzo had a screwball scorecard giving eight rounds to Clay, only one to Jones, and one even. Clay’s jabs frequently fell short, while Jones blocked many of his punches. Perhaps the first, fourth and seventh rounds were the best Jones fought, his right hand landing on Clay so often he made Clay look silly. Jones appeared to have the fight won on the cards going into the ninth round, though Clay appeared to be more active in rounds nine and ten with punch flurries. Still, there were many heated exchanges in the tenth and final round. Click on the links above to watch the fight in its entirety and come to your own opinion about who won.
Jones was 14 pounds lighter and three inches shorter than Clay. At the time, Clay was the number two ranked heavyweight in the world, while Jones was ranked third in the world.

I get that.
My point is that they use RUNNER in s negative context as If running is the reason they hate him. Why not be real and just admit that they hate him as a person and that makes them biased against his fighting style??
Well that should be mostly cause he doesn't take risks, black, and unpleasant style of fighting. Me? I don't like him cause he's corny an makes idiots out of his fans. He just finished saying he's taking a risk fighting Conor.

the only reason cooper scored the KD in the first place was because ali was playing with him. he predicted to stop him in 5, he was trying to force his prediction. he was carrying cooper and almost paid the price for it.
Anyone who thinks this is delusional and DKSAB. Tyson wouldn't have won a single round vs. a prime Ali.
Ali took punches from the greatest knockout artist the heavyweight division ever saw in George Foreman, laughed in his face in the ring after Foreman hit him with his best shot, and actually asked Foreman if that was all he he had. Foreman replied "Yep, that's it" before he knocked Foreman out. And just so you know, prime Foreman KOs Mike pretty easily.
Greatest chin heavyweight division ever saw. Greatest hand speed, greatest footwork too. Do not disrespect Ali by comparing him to Mike.
I was always of the opinion that the pre-exile Ali would be the version of The Greatest most susceptible to a prime Mike Tyson. Sure the pre-exile Ali was much faster and able to avoid lots of punches but he was also less experienced and prone to get rocked, and knocked down, from left hooks. The version of Ali that would trouble Mike the most would be the Ali that fought Foreman. Nowhere as fast as he was earlier but iron chinned and vastly experienced. He would tie Mike up and frustrate the hell out of him. Probably stop him late. Just my opinion though.
I gotta disagree with you there.

I've trained in a boxing gym since I was 10. No amateur or pro bouts besides sparring. Watched boxing my whole life, learned it's history.
What does this have to do with the fact that YDKSAB and made a completely ridiculous argument?
Please tell me. I just want facts based on logic.
What evidence is there, historical or otherwise, that Tyson would have ended Ali in 6?
LMFAO I can't wait to hear this.
Obviously its you that don't know sh1t about boxing. I've been watching boxing since before your Dad was born so get the fcuk outta here you wannabe.
Do you even know what logic means?
Evidence? I told you. Look at the hook Cooper landed on Clay that almost sent him through the ropes. Cooper was a bum and Clay was a sucker for a left hook. Doug Jones man, I keep repeating myself but you don't respond. Clay lost that fight. Insert Tyson into that fight and Clay sleeps like he just bought a Serta.
You just repeat what other people tell you.
LOL Ali knocked people out, or cut them to shreds. Floyd hasn't KO'd anyone since he starched Hatton in 2007.
And only two since Sharma Mitchell in 2005.
LMFAO.....Ali had 37 kos in 61 fights meaning 23 went the distance since he himself was stopped in 1 fight....Floyd has 26 ko's in 49 fights meaning 23 went the distance..fvck are you talking about? the best bet on both were betting on the distance
