...based on his pattern of not being able to pay his taxes on time for the past several years.
And the question is why can't he pay his taxes without going back in the ring?
It would seem his next come back fight would probably 3 years after his last one.
What do you think?
I agree. But I don't expect him to be back after a year or so.
Most likely 2-4 years when the IRS if going after him again.
You can be TBE, but 2-4 years of inactivity is not good. Doe.
Unless he wants to repeat what happened to guys like Roy Jones, Bhop, etc.

Some star somewhere has to rise to the occation. Maybe Canelo again?

I agree. Floyd needs to fight or else the irs will put his ass in prison.
Yeah Floyd could easily be fighting again, coming out of retirement to fight for a hundred million.

I don't agree, I think he would've stayed retired if not for the McGregor fight which was too good to turn down.
He would have stayed retired if he straightened out his tax issues. It's been a pattern for him dating back years.
Nah this will be his last fight for sure
Either way, I don't think fans will give a crap.
Most would rather see him retire for good.
So the media can focus on current fighters at last.
These circus fights are sucking the life out of this sport.
Man they can't even make Andrade/Lara, Jacobs/Charlo, etc.
It's pathetic.
You're too sensitive. I was talking facts and you go sentimental.
Fact: IRS is after him for his back taxes.
Fact: TBE went back for the solution.
How is that a fantasy? How would we know he's not going back to apply the same solution again?
You misunderstood. I am aware they are after him for back taxes. He didn't go back to get money to pay his taxes. He asked that he IRS wait until after the Conor fight.
I said I doubt it in regards to what you posted to going back in 2-3 years..
I then asked a question hoping to get an answer.
I doubt it.
Why is one of the biggest fantasies some posters have on NSB is Floyd going broke or losing money? Is it so he has to keep fighting which will increase the chances of him losing?

I see. Let's hope he won't be going back 2-3 years later just to pay his back taxes. All he needs is sell some of his properties and there'll be enough left.
I doubt it.

From what I read he doesn't have tax problems, he simply didn't pay them and is trying to negotiate a lower amount. Apparently this is a common tactic the very rich use to pay less.

That's assuming Mayweather won't have anymore tax problems after this fight with Gregor.

I think this is his last fight. I was one of the few Floyd fans that felt Berto wasn't. This time I think it's it.

I highly doubt a boxer gets anything close to what an actor makes off royalties from movies, blu rays, DVD's, endorsements.
Hmm...Makes me wonder about artists in the music industry.
Do Neil Diamond gets royalties when they sing his Sweet Caroline
which British promoters love playing? :boxing:
Hmm...that's interesting.
Will Smith getting royalties from his movies.
Isn't this the same with Floyd everytime his fights are replayed?
You have to wonder how much exactly these people get on royalties.
People in the music industry most likely make more.
