What happened to the Broner who faced Maidana?

Well, he did drop Porter in the last round and finally let his hands go a bit in the last rounds against Mikey. So you're way off, Broner actually waits to long to do anything. He thinks he's slicker and cuter than he is and did almost nothing in the first half of his losses. He dropped Porter then did NOTHING after man and with Garcia he threw like 5 more punches a round at the end

Maidana took his soul. Getting beer rained down on him and walking around backstage looking like a zombie was a traumatic experience for him. That moment will haunt him forever. I hope he can recover one day.

He wants to land the "pretty" 1-2, the flashy check left hook and frustrate his opponent with his defense like Floyd. For a guy who has fought Maidana and Broner, he should have used their strategy and just try to bully and out-muscle Garcia. Though his ego probably won't ever let him try to win "ugly"!

Broner maybe lost 8-4 at best he was getting stunned in a lot of rounds knocked down twice then to not get Ko'd held for his life and tried to get Maidana dq'd. Chino gave a beating to Broner which Porter and Mickey did not.

The only thing he did impressive in the maidana fight was last 12 rounds. Thats the only thing he did impressive again in this fight. I picked garcia to stop him, never happened. Broner has a good chin, thats about it. Everything else, he is overrated garbage.

Broner is what he is. He finds a new way to lose when it matters most.

Broner has been regressing as a fighter for years. Forget his losses he struggled with Emmanuel Taylor in a fight that was dead even heading into the 12th, the same Taylor that Lucas Matthysee crawled out of bed after a long layoff and iced easily. He struggled with a mediocre Granados who's been beaten many times. He struggled with Paulie when other top fighters blew him out including Porter who fought him after. And even the Maidana fight he didn't give a great showing the man was faking injuries trying to get Maidana DQ'd. All he did that fight was get his azzz whopped from post to post. He had flaws long before he took his first L but was protected and gifted paper belts it's still disgusting that this clown is technically a 4 division champ showing you how bad the belt orgs are and how easy it is to manipulate and pay them off. If you take away the bogus belts that were pure politics and just look at the names he's beaten it's hard to see what all the fuss was about and why he was so overhyped. His career was manufactured smoke and mirrors and as he stepped up to better fighters he got exposed.

After the Maidana fight, Broner accepted losing.

You mean the Broner rolling around on the canvas trying to get Maidana DQ'd ?I remember that. Maidana beat him up convincingly and maybe he also took some of Broner's heart that fight. The normally loud mouthed Broner left the building as quickly as possible and refused to talk to anyone after the fight. He claimed he wanted to rematch Maidana but I don't think he wanted a rematch.

Broner wasted a lot of energy bouncing around during the first five rounds. A lot of unnecessary movement--juking and jiving around the ring. Against Maidana and Porter he got out-muscled, against Mikey he got out-boxed.

Broner needs a Mexican trainer. He needs a new brain man.

I only had him winning 3 rounds against Maidana so all his losses are similar to me. None of them were even competitive. The best way to explain it is that Broner just doesn't have that "dog" in him that all great fighters have and use when they are in tough fights. He's been with Haymon for years and has a lot more money than he ever expected to get, and he also knows that win or lose he can always get paid extremely well even for taking on poor/average competition in easy fights.

The Broner that fought Maidana had the heart of a lion. He lost that fight but made it a close fight and was going for the KO even till the last bell. He fought his heart out that night. This new Broner that lost to garcia and Porter is a shell of himself. He knew he was losing in both fights going to the championship rounds and still was not going for it. His mentality is just not there. I think during the Maidana fight he thought that if he lost his undefeated record no one would watch him anymore. Now he knows win or lose he will still make money. So he doesn't care. Styles make fights man. Not to mention Broner basically wore his gameplan on his chest. 1-4 Broner tried to move but he was cut off. 5-8 he tried to counter but Mikey threw first and didnt commit. Rds 9-12 he came forward in desperation mode and was countered for it. I think they though Mikey was only a counter puncher and if you took away his counter punching you take away is power and game. BAD corner work in my opinion. Broner needs a Mexican trainer.
