You said cotto landed more which is a flat out lie, my eyes say canelo was better but the punch stats prove it's a fact he landed more the cotto.
Punch stats prove nothing. You don't even know how they work. :pat:
First off why have you shown punch stat numbers?
Second use your own eyes. Cotton was simply the better fighter.

Dude loves compubox. To him it tells all. Unfortunate for him.
He also Thinks Oscar dominated Trinidad because of compubox. Lol
He doesn't know that compubox are just some dudes counting punches and not some super computer.
90% of the forum thinks compubox is actually a computer lol
In reality its a couple of guys, watching on a monitor or in person, who press a button when they think a fighter has landed a punch. In reality, they can be heavily biased in favour of the house fighter which is what leads to some ridiculous "stats".
Oscar did dominate Tito though. You dont need compubox for that.

After I initially watched the fight I had Canelo winning 8 rounds to 4.
I agree Canelo won, too big, strong for Cotto.
I didn't see it as wide. Opinions vary, I was quite surprised when the Mexican press had Cotto winning or a draw, etc......I did not see that at all. I had it 8 to 4 for Canelo definitely.
For me it was your typical Young Lion vs. Old Lion passing the torch type fight.
I don't want to see a rematch. Canelo would win even easier and likely knock Cotto out this time. A rematch is not good for Cotto's health. Lol
This is the right view
connecting more? Canelo landed more and at a higher percent and almost doubled him up in power punches. Cotto won 3 rounds 4 if you really generous and stayed on his bike all night to avoid getting KOd. Dude couldn't land literally missed 500 punches he threw. Easy win for canelo.

Cotto was best at 140-147. Size difference way too big for him to beat Canelo.
Yeah size difference was vast.
Canelo had size, strength, youth, etc...all in his favor.
And yet with that Cotto gave a good account of himself.
The fight went pretty much the way I thought it would.
I don't care for a rematch. At this stage of their careers it can only get worse for Cotto.
I know you are trolling but i cant believe people actually think Cotto won..Canelo dominated him and made him look foolish at times
Take it easy potna.
The problem is cotto came in trying to jab and run his way to a victory. Had no intentions of slugging and wanted to make it a tactical boxing match and canelo out boxed him easily. He refused to change his game plan when it was clear he couldn't outbox canelo and was losing the fight. If I remember correctly none of the judges agreed on a single round for cotto. The rounds canelo won were clear and decisive then there were a handful of rounds that cotto did better but even those were toss ups. If you give all the toss up rounds to cotto simply because he didn't lose as badly as other rounds then you have canelo winning a 8-4 type fight. If you give one or 2 of those close rounds to canelo you get wide scores. Either way cotto problem is he just couldn't connect canelo defense had him missing and looking foolish all night and he refused to stand his ground and go for broke because he didn't want to get knocked out.

nobody thought wrapidad won that fight..only hard core wrapidad fans..oscar got robbed on that one...and canelo beat cotto..
Yup, but I was in PR were people drank the koo laid, thinking that because DLH ended up running from Tito he deserved to lose.
I think it was a close fight. Cotto showed he was better at most things, except power. Cotto has great foot work, where Nelo is hoof footed and needs to reset often. But Nelo won close I'd say. Floyd hurt cotto more, but maybe took more too.

Compubox is corrupt
SD? no he won a lopsided Unanimous decision.
I bet on Canelo in that fight, but tbh it was very very close. i might have to rewatch it because canelo wasnt doing sh*t most of the time, yes he was landing harder shot's but he was also being outboxed for the most part...
Outboxed? Canelo made cotto look embarrassing the way he made him miss all night long

It was a counterpunching clinic. Not only did canelo land more but he clearly landed the harder shots. Cotto had no answer for canelo defense and it's why he threw almost 400 jabs but landed only like 50 of them and missed 500 punches total according to compubox. Statistically one of if not the worst offense output of his entire career.
